THE EMERGENCY RESERVE CORPS REGULATIONS 1941, AMENDMENT NO. 3

C. L. N. NEWALL, Governor-General. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of June, 1942. Present: His Excellency the Governor-General in Council. Pursuant to the Emergency Regulations Act, 1939, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.

REGULATIONS. 1. These regulations may be cited as the Emergency Reserve Corps Regulations 1941, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Emergency Reserve Corps Regulations 1941* (hereinafter referred to as the principal regulations). 2. Clause 3 of the . principal regulations is hereby amended by omitting from subclause (3) the words “ British subjects ”, and substituting the words “ persons, whether British subjects or not ”, 3. Clause 4 of the principal regulations is hereby amended by adding to subclause (4) the words “ The fact that any person may have been discharged from any branch of the Corps shall not excuse him from compliance with any direction given under the said Regulation 8a at any time after the date of his discharge.” 4. Clause 4 of the principal regulations is hereby further amended by omitting from subclause (7) the words “ or (in the case of an emergency precautions service) by the Chairman of the Central Committee ”.

5. Clause 4 of the principal regulations is hereby further amended by adding the following new subclause : “ (9) Notwithstanding anything in subclause (7) hereof, any member of any branch of the Corps may, without a formal discharge, be transferred from that branch to any other branch of the Corps by any person authorized in that behalf by the Minister.” C.
