INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (Australia).- —On the 2nd ultimo, the dwelling of LOUISE CHARLES EMANUEL, 24 Hilltop Crescent, Manly, was broken into and the following stolen: A ladies’ 18 ct. white gold wristlet watch with “ Cyma ” on dial, thirty-eight diamonds set around dial and on shoulders, double black cord wrist-strap ; a ladies’ 9 ct. yellow gold round wristlet watch, size 9J ligne, “ Peak ” on dial, no glass, black moire band which is broken ; a platinum engagement ring of three narrow bands, set with three diamonds of same size in platinum setting ; a ladies’ white gold and platinum ring, set with an oval black onyx and a diamond in centre, millegrain, setting; a ladies’ 18 ct. yellow gold dress ring, set with a cluster of diamonds with emerald in centre' in millegrain platinum setting; a platinum barbrooch with three closely set diamonds in centre, millegrain setting ; a 9 ct. gold chain purse, 24 in. by. 2 in., gold frame and 9 ct. gold trace chain about 48 in. long ; and a platinum heart-shaped pendant about size of a florin, studded with seven diamonds ; total value, £127 10s, Identifiable. If any of the stolen jewellery is discovered in this Dominion an urgent communication is to be forwarded to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (P.42/412.)
