Auckland. 3lst December last, on warrant for theft of £1 18s. 4d., the property of the Automatic Precision Engineers, Ltd., Eric Walter Fraser, age fifteen, height about 5 ft. 7 in., message-boy, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, large nose. He was wearing blue denim trousers and Army boots, and he may be in possession of grey trousers and tennis shoes. When arrested he is to be returned to the camp. Gisborne. —10th instant, that he may be located and directed to return to the Army Department the following described equipment which was issued to him, Donald McDonald, age thirty-two, height 5 ft. 11J in., farm labourer, native of New Z.ealand, medium build, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes : A rifle. No. 257 ; a bayonet, No. 257 ; a scabbard; an oil-bottle ; a pull-through; a sling ; a haversack; a set of web gear (six pieces) ; a kit-bag, a pair of boots ; a greatcoat ; a jacket ; a hat and band ; a pair of trousers; and three badges two of which have “ N.Z.R.” on them. / 4.<f. fe- ,p-

Wairoa. — 17th ultimo, for theft of a bicycle (recovered), value £l6 10s., the property of Douglas McNab, McLean Street, Man (name unknown), age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., strong build, dark complexion and hair, scar down left side of face; wearing a dark sports coat with red stripes, blue trousers, and boots with hob-nails ; dirty and untidy, and had the appearance of a half-caste Maoii. On above date he stole the bicycle from the town and subsequently endeavoured to sell it, and it was later found abandoned on the Wairoa-Napier Road. No warrant. jt

On the 4th instant he failed to appear in answer to a summons. There is another similar charge pending. He may be found in the company of Robert Lumsden Gillespie,, who is in possession of his 1927 model Triumph motor-cycle, registration No. 16,948, and who is also referred to in “ Deserters from His Majesty’s Service ” this issue.

Christchurch. —12th instant, that she may be located and interviewed regarding the ownership of a trunk of clothing which was found abandoned in a section off Dyers Road on the 23rd August last, Violet Grave, nee Holt, age about forty, height '5 ft. 6 in., domestic, native of New Zealand, .pale complexion, fair hair, well spoken, attractive appearance, fond of drink. She is a divorcee, and she may have assumed the names Orr-James or James-Orr, or she may have remarried. The trunk and clothing (among which was a letter addressed “ Mrs. Violet Grave, care of The Lodge, Hanmer Springs ”) are now in possession of the police.

Christchurch. — John Robert Mackie, theft (see Police Gazette, 1939, page 690) has been arrested in Liverpool (England) for larceny.

Oamaru. — John Robert Mackie, failing to maintain (see Police Gazette, 1940, page 367), has been arrested for larceny in Liverpool (England.)

Timaru. — 16th ultimo, on warrant to apprehend for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Muriel Catherine Sims, and three children, Oliver George Sims, referred to in Police Gazette, 1941, page 587.
