Auckland. —On the Bth August last, the dwelling of HELEN AITKEN LAMB, 576 Manukau Road, Epsom, was broken into and the following stolen: A gold close curb single chain about 18 in. long, similar to illustration No. 35 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 3, fastener repaired; a gold oval locket about 1J in. wide, chased on one side and partly chased on other side; a gentlemen’s gold hunting watch, key wind, Roman numerals, similar to illustration No. 2 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 1 ; a ladies’ gold open-face key-wind pocket watch, about 1£ in. in diameter, goldcoloured dial, “ L.M.Y.” on back; a gold close curb single Albert, about 12 in. long, similar to illustration No. 35 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 3 ; a gold open curb bracelet, ends fasten with gold heart-shaped padlock, one link broken, similar to illustration No. 24 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2 ; a gold bracelet of trace type, originally a gentlemen’s watchchain, ends joined with small gold ring, similar to illustration No. 16 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2; a gold-mounted white shark’s tooth about £ in. long, ring attached; a gold tie-pin about 3 in. long with two small gold-mounted shark’s teeth suspended on fine gold chain, “ H.A.L.” on one tooth and “ H.W.” on other tooth ; a ladies’ gold signet ring with “ H.A.L.” in heart; a gold dress ring, originally a wedding ring, but now set with pearls and a turquoise (some stones missing); a gold brooch about f in. by 4 in. with yellow stone in centre, pin at back a gold brooch of two round bars with six pearls in row between them and three gold circles at each end; a long gold chain, Prince of Wales type without pillars, greenstone heart about £ in. by £ in. with kiwi engraved on it attached, similar to illustration No. 41 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 3; a gold safety-pin brooch about 1 in. long with small bow-shaped gold nugget attached; a gold circular brooch with a small gold circle on each side and at bottom, set with garnets; a silver bracelet, set with Scotch pebbles of shamrock shape, various colours, silver links; and a silver bar brooch about 1£ in. long, set with a stone of diamond appearance ; total value, £l3 12s. 6d. Identifiable.

Auckland.— On the Bth August last, the dwelling of WILLIAM HENRY ENSTONE, 12 Almorah Street, New market, was broken into and the following stolen: A rolledgold Eversharp pencil,about 54 in. long,silver-coloured point; a light-grey tweed suit, may be size 3, “ Burton England ” on tag at neck, lined with grey silk, double-breasted vest; a brown tweed suit, lined with brown silk, made by Newmarket Outfitters, Auckland; a pair of gentlemen’s black shoes without toecaps, size 6; a -brown leather suit- . case. 18 in. by 14 in, bps 4-j, in.; eight neckties of various colours; a pair of 9 ct. gold cuff-links; nine pairs of socks, ‘ sizes 6 and 6J; three gentlemen’s cream-coloured silk and wool “ Sioux ” singlets; three white cricket shirts, size 3 ; a grey striped linen shirt, 14£ in. neck; two white linen shirts, 14 J in. neck, one has brown stripes; a pair of hornrimmed spectacles, made by Teed, optician, Newmarket; a dark-brown fibrecane suit-case, 30 in. by 20 in.' by 7 in. ; a gentlemen’s silver half-hunting pocket watch, Roman numerals a silver watch-chain about 9 in. long, similar to illustration No. 15 in Police Gazette, 19.11, page 2; a gold star-shaped St. John’s Ambulance medal, “ W. H. Enstone” on one side and a number on other side; and 3s. in silver and coppers ; total value, £sl 11s. Mostly identifiable.

Auckland.— August last, from the Women’s Rest Room at the City Bus terminus, the property of KATE MARIE WILDING, The Summit, Titirangi, a leather scarlet-coloured handbag about 10 in. by 6 in. by 3 in. ‘with zip-fastener, containing a small reddish-brown mottled leather purse; £3 17s. 6d. - in money; an old-fashioned bracelet of ivory rosettes threaded with brass wire ; a ladies’ silver round wristlet watch, probably Baume make; a silver mounted round powder-box, 1 in. in diameter, representation of woman’s face on top; a heart-shaped bottle 14 in. high containing dark-blue scent; a 6 in. pruning-knife with curved blade ; and a pair of tortoise-shell spectacles; total value, £ll 17s. 6d. Portion identifiable.

Auckland. ultimo, from the dwelling of JOHN ARTHUR JOHNSTON-PARKER, 7 Franklin Road, Ponsonby, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold wristlet watch, about size of a florin, black Arabic numerals/ “ To Ruth from Oscar on her 21st birthday, 21-5-1914.” on back, black ribbon strap with no gold clasp; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with a cluster of seven diamonds ; a ladies’ gold ring/ set with a cluster of / b.'' seven diamonds, platinum “setting' and shoulders which arc engraved with scroll design; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set ' with a large sapphire, which was originally surrounded by thirteen small pearls, hut three are now missing, box setting ; a black leather purse, 7 in. by 6 in., black leather handles which are joined, containing Bs. in money; a brown leather tobacco-pouch, 4 in. by 3 in., with two dome fasteners; a set of three-gallon petrol-coupons; and a registration certificate for a 1928 model Morris Cowley motor-car, in complainant’s name; total value, £4B 10s. Identifiable except money and coupons.

Auckland. Between the 16th and 21st July last, from a room in the Waverley Hotel, the property of HENRY WILLIAMSON, Pokuru, Te Awamutu, a pair of black Do Karem field-glasses, about 8 in. long, screw-out lenses which are of 10 magnifications, number probably 117658, contained in a brown leather case ; value, £4O. Identifiable.

Auckland. —On the 11th ultimo, the dwelling of GEORGE MURRAY BLAIR, 79 Vermont Street, Ponsonby, was broken into and the following stolen: A pair of black Zeiss field-glasses 8 x 30 magnifications, adjustable right eyepiece with small dent in it, brown leather strap attached; value, £25. Auckland.— -14th August last, from Lome Street, the property of ALLAN WILLIAM GILMOUR and another, 68 Wellington Street, Freeman’s Bay, a 1937 model, 34 h.p., 0.h.v., O.K. Supreme motor-cycle, painted black, engine No. K.O. 2/F. 53707/S., registration No. 8,669 ; value, £BS. Identifiable.

Hawera. — 22nd August last, from the shop of C. A. WILKINSON, LTD., High Street, a canteen of E.P.N.S. cutlery, dark oak case with “ 4540 P ” on silver plate on outside, about 16 in. by 12 in., containing forty-one pieces, Westenholme brand ; total value, £l3 10s. Identifiable.

Marton.— During the night of the Bth-9th August last, from a room in the Railway Hotel, the property of HARRY BRYDON, a gentlemen’s gold hunting Waltham pocket watch, embossed seal on centre of front case, Roman numerals, value £lO. Identifiable.

Masterton.— During the night of 30th-31st August last, the shop of CECIL AUBREY GREENWOOD, jeweller, Queen Street, was broken into and the following stolen: A ladies’ 9 ct. gold oblong Rotary wristlet watch, black moire wrist-band ; a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold Roamer wristlet watch; a gentlemen’s rolled-gold oblong Aceurex wristlet watch ; a gentlemen’s stainless steel Omega wristlet watch, case No. 9033347 ; a gentlemen’s chromium Roamer wristlet watch, round luminous dial; a gentlemen’s square chromium Buren Rival wristlet watch; and a ladies’ Baume wristlet watch with round dial; total value, £42 19s. Omega watch only identifiable.

Wellington. Between. May last and 4th ultimo, from a motor-car in the workshop of Dominion Motors, Kent Terrace, the property of WALTER NORMAN NORWOOD, Lemnos Avenue, Karori, a six-valve Philco twin unit motor-car radio set in steel box 10 in. by 8 in. by 6 in., which is probably painted brown, “ Packard custom radio ” on chromium strip across set, “ Packard Monogram ” on front, 10 in. speaker; value, £25. Identifiable.

Blenheim. Between the 6th and Bth ultimo, from the Woodburne Air-station, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Air Department), a black bakelite Harvard aeroplane clock, 2f in. in diameter, numerals 3,6, 9, and 12 luminous with dots in place of numerals between them, “ Elgin Pioneer” above “Reg. U.S. Patent Off” on dial, metal plate on back inscribed “ Serial 3310/2/A/12147 ” and “ Division of Bendix Aviation Corporation, Bendix, New Jersey, U.S.A.”; value, £5. Identifiable.

Temuka. Between the 21st June and sth July last, from the dwelling of James John O’Connell, Epworth, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), a -303 calibre magazine Lee Enfield rifle, No. 2/1 C.Y. 483, bayonet boss No. 1279, bolt No. 1279; value, £8 2s. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —2nd ultimo, the property of SARAH WRIGHT WILSON, 38 King Edward Street, a navy-blue leather handbag with two leather handles, open -mesh pattern, small leather purse inside, containing £l7 10s. in money, made up of two £5 and seven £1 notes and a 10s. note; a pair of horn-rimmed glasses in fawn case with “ Hugh & G. K. Neill, Dunedin ”on inside; a small magnifying glass with tortoise-shell handle ; two small keys ; a “ Lot for Little ” art-union ticket, No. 54343 ; and a powder-puff; handkerchief, &c.; total value, £22.
