Lowe, school-teacher, Huntly School: A pair of ladies’ navy kid tie shoes with Cuban heels, Metcalf Archdirector brand ; a ladies’ hat; a ladies’ handbag of British Leathercraft, Christchurch, brand; a pair of wool-lined celanese panties; a pair of Suntex silk and wool panties; a ladies’ wool-lined celanese vest; and a ladies’ lustre silk and wool vest; total value, £5 12s. Id. When she is located she is to be interviewed. No warrant.

Te Awamutu. — l6th October last, on warrant to apprehend for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife and child, Joseph Denby Bean, age forty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a dark-brown suit.

Auckland. —Between 30th August last and Ist September, on warrant for theft of a fawn costume (recovered), value £3 10s., the property of James Nelson Marsden, 51 Dexter Avenue, Mount Eden, John Charles Allen Olsen, referred to in Police Gazette, 1940, page 580, and Photographs, 1939, page 99. The costume was stolen from the office of the Colonial Sugar Refining Co., Quay Street, where complainant was employed. Accused was employed by the Domestic Vacuum Cleaning Co., and it was his duty to clean the office referred to. He did not appear at his work on the 2nd September last, and the stolen property was found in his flat at 62 Grafton Road. Accused stole the camera from complainant’s hut at Paringa, Bruce Bay. He may be identical with Alfred David Goodsir, referred to in Police Gazette, 1934, page 115.

Kaikoura. —That proceedings may be taken against him for failing to notify his change of abode (Arms Act), Harry Williams, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 9 in., native of New Zealand, thin build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes. He was manager of Waiautoa Station, and in January, 1929, he registered a -303 calibre rifle, No. 1910. He left the district the following year without notifying his change of address.
