Te Araroa. — the 12th ultimo, Tukaki Wanoa, age forty-eight, height 5 ft. 8 in., carpenter, Maori, medium build, copper complexion, black hair turning grey, brown eyes, broad nose, right eye injured ; his clothing consisted of grey trousers, brown coat, white cotton and wool singlet, white cotton shirt, and brown shoes, but when last seen he had his clothes under his arm and was endeavouring to swim across the A water e River to his home. Fears arc entertained for his safety.
