SPECIAL NOTICES.
Police Identification-card Lost. New Brighton. —Between the 21st ultimo and 6th instant, Sergeant J. Mclntosh lost his identification- in or about Christchurch. Members of the Force are to be on the alert to recover it.
Unidentified Body Found.
Dunedin. On the 18th instant the dead body of a man (name unknown) was found washed up on the beach at Kuri Bush. It was in an advanced stage of decomposition, death having occurred apparently at least three weeks previously. The body was that of a man about sixty years, height about 5 ft. 10 in., good build, grey hair, no teeth ; dressed in navyblue trousers, blue-striped white shirt fastened at neck with a sleeve-link, woollen singlet, a pair of black woollen socks and a pair of brown cotton socks of white check pattern, narrow leather belt which is either a saddle strap or a piece of bridle rein with nickel buckle, and a truss which was bound with cloth apparently to prevent chafing. Any information that might assist in establishing the identity of deceased is to be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Dunedin.
