Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). — George Henry Scott, deserting ship, left this Dominion on the 17th November last, and the warrant has been cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 865.) WCt/L/^

Auckland. John William Pye, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Ponsonby police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 978.)

Auckland.— William O’Neill, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Manunui police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 58.)

Auckland. —Man (name unknown) found dead: The identity of the body has been established as that of Ravaji Bhana, referred to in Police Gazette, 1940, page 42. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 499.)

Auckland. — Leslie George Webley, default of maintenance Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 925.)

—Vivian Henry George Wirk, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by the Palmerston North police. He assumed the name Vivian Cheeseman. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 41.)

Waihi. — Claude Kelly, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Greymouth police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 926.)

Hamilton. — Ernest Edward Albert Tolley, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Hamilton police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 41.)

Hamilton. — Sylvia Parenti Snell, missing, was found drowned in the Waikato River at Huntly on the 17th instant. (Sec Police Gazette, 1940, page 43.)

Wellington. James Burns, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Wellington South police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 00.)

Wharf (Wellington). —C, W. Brattle, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Wanganui police. He assumed the name Charles Williams, but his correct name is Claude Wilfred Brattle. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 318.)

Blenheim.-Gordon Cameron, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Islington police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 979.)

Christchurch. — Matthew Wallace Munro, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 216.)

Christchurch. George McDonald Hamilton, breaking and entering, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 981.)

Christchurch. Cecil Owen Fagan, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Waihi police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 60.)

Temuka. — Robert Henderson, convicted of being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car (see Police Gazette, 1939, page 176): The disqualification imposed on him under the Motor-vehicles Act has been removed as from the 12th instant.

Dunedin.— Maurice Gerson, deserting ship : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 166.)

Dunedin. — David Stevenson Sharp, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the New Brighton police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 444.)

In the Police Gazette records the convictions of Huia Chase, alias Rota Pine, have been confused with those of another offender with similar names, and the former’s convictions are republished in this issue of the Police Gazette, page 96.
