Auckland. Between the 27th and 31st October last, from the Foresters’ Hall, 4 Carmen Avenue, Balmoral, the property of the FORESTERS’ LODGE, a bowl-shaped silver cup, 2£ in. high, “ Court Balmoral Ritual Competition, 1938 ” engraved on it ; value, £l. Identifiable.

Auckland.— loth November last, from a motor-car in Lome Street, the property of CLEAVE MacKELLAR RICH WHITE, 27 Rahiri Road, Mount Eden, a gentlemen’s grey worsted overcoat, single-breasted, straight cut, 42 in. chest, branded “ Hugh Wright ; value, £ll. Identifiable.

Auckland. 2lst or 22nd October last, from 58 Shortland Street, the property of DORIS EDITH MARY EALAM, a gold engagement ring, set with five diamonds in a row, largest diamond in centre, platinum setting; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Auckland.— llth November last, the property of GIBSON VERNON BROOK, 105 Victoria Road, Devonport, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold hunting keyless Waltham watch, black Roman numerals, scratch on inside back case; a rolledgold open curb watch-chain, similar to illustration No. 24, in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2 ; and a £1 note ; total value, £7 10s. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to Norman Harold McCormick, alias McCormack, referred to in Police Gazette, 1939, page 628, and Photographs, 1935, page 5. Complainant and suspect were drinking together on the day the offence was committed, and the latter has been interviewed, but no evidence resulted.

Wanganui. 9th ultimo, from clothing in the pavilion of the Wanganui Bowling Club, the property of ANDREW DOIG, Victoria Avenue, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold 10-jewel open-face keyless Cyma lever pocket watch, No. 12299, seconds-hand missing, back case hinged, may have “ A. Doig” scratched on inside back case ; value*. £4 10/. Licntifiable. Wellington. —Between the 7th and 23rd November last, from a room in the factory of the RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION CO., Kaiwarra, a pair of solid circular Bolinder cutters, 7 £ in. in diameter, used in a four-sided planing-machine, with 1£ in. spindles for tongue and groove work; and two bushes for cutters ; value, £22. Identifiable.
