Auckland. —llth ultimo, that he may be located and the Social Security Department notified of his whereabouts, Stanley Franklin, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 7 in., lawnmower mechanic, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, long face, pigeon toed ; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit and fawn hat. His coupon-book is No. 285169. He is married and has three children. He owes £2 3s. to the Department referred to.

Auckland. — l6th ultimo, that he may be located and induced to return military uniform to the Defence Department, Andrew O’Brien, age nineteen, heigkt 5 ft. 10£ in.,

Auckland. — l3th November last, on warrant to apprehend for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Florence Myrtle Nowell, and child, 21 Hobson Street, Feilding, Clarence Benjamin Nowell, age about forty-three, height about 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, curly dark-brown hair, brown eyes, scar on back of head, erect gait, but limps slightly on right leg; usually dressed in a blue or grey suit, grey felt hat, and tan boots ; fond of drink. Hamilton. —lsth ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Dora Winifred Tolley, 88 Victoria Street, Ernest Edward Albert Tolley, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, stout build, olive complexion, black hair, blue eyes; probably dressed in a darkgreen suit or a black suit (no hat.)

Wanganui. — l3th ultimo, on warrant for false pretences, H. Harrison, who may be identical with Harold Richardson Kerr, referred to in Police Gazette, 1939, page 978, and Photographs, 1937, page 34. He was wearing light-grey trousers and light-coloured tweed overcoat of heavy material. Accused obtained £4 ss. from William Kennedy, 274 Somme. Parade, Aromoho, by falsely representing that two tablets of deodorizing disinfectant was a borer exterminator. He may be identical with G. Anderson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1939, page 965. CVVtA&I Palmerston North.— lßth November last, on warrant for indecent assault on Leila Joyce Kilgour (age eleven), Kairanga, Eugene Charles Dominic Patrick McCarthy, referred to in Police Gazette, 1939, pages 161 and 865, and Photographs, 1937, page 36. A.bo«t 10 p.m. on above date accused induced complainant, Who was leaving a party in the Salvation Army HalLyto .ride wi th him on his bicycle to a reserve in Cliff Read, where— be assaulted her. He was subsequently arrested for the offence and remanded to 4th instant, but/he escaped, from the lock-up about 7.30 p.m. on the 3rd. He is now said to have the following tattoomarks, &c. : Thistle on right wrist, woman’s head in circle, trapeze figure and dancing girl on right forearm, scar on left little finger.
