Auckland. — Frederick George Lavery, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Auckland police, and the military equipment delivered to the Defence Department. (See Police Gazette, 1932,’page 599.)
Auckland. — Archibald Miller, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Whakatane police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 545.)
Auckland.— Frederick William Innes, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 545.)
Auckland.— William Redmond, false pretences, has been arrested by the Auckland police. His correct name is William Ernest Redman. (See Police Gazette, 1939, pages 598 and 633.)
Auckland. — Ernest Googan, deserting ship, has been arrested by the-Lyttelton police. His correct name is Ernest Anthony Googan. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 657.)
Auckland. Albert Joseph Hill, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Mount Cook police. (See Pol Gazette, 1939, page 691.)
Hamilton.— Joseph Leonard Hastie, alias Leonard Hastie, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 197.)
Hamilton. — Victor Raymon Holmes, inquired for : No further action is to he taken. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 752.)
Wanganui.Takarangi Mei Hunia, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1939, page 744) : The sentence imposed on the charge of rogue and vagabond should read “ 6 months’ H.L. and 1 year’s R.D.” All copies of the Police Gazette are to be amended accordingly.
Wanganui.George Sinclair Cameron, missing, was found drowned in the Wanganui River on the 30th ultimo. (See Police Gazette, 1939, pages 737 and 754.)
Feilding. — Sydney Harris, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the National Park police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 674.)
Palmerston North. — William -Joseph James Miles, breach of probation, has made restitution, and no further action is to be taken. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 634.)
Blenheim. Jack Williams and William Albert Gaines, alias Albert Gains, false pretences, have been interviewed by the Christchurch police, and they admitted the offence. Williams is identical with Alexander Wallace Copley. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 752.)
Christchurch. Thomas Hector Clements, alias William Hector Clements, referred to in Police Gazette, 1928, page 161, died at Christchurch on the 30th ultimo. His correct name was Thomas Hector Clement.
Dunedin.— Cameron Weir, convicted of being intoxicated in charge of a motor-vehicle (see Police Gazette, 1939, page 331) : The disqualification imposed on him under the Motor-vehicles Act was removed as from the 29th ultimo, and a prohibition order was issued against him.
Dunedin. — Harold Smith McKenzie, convicted of being intoxicated in charge of a motor-cycle (see Police Gazette, 1939, page 291) : The disqualification imposed under the Motor-vehicles Act has been removed as from the 6th instant.
Invercargill.— Louis Flint, false pretences, has been arrested by the Dunedin police. His correct name is Arthur Louis Flint. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 752.)
