Newton. Since the Bth May last, Joan Dorothy Pearson, age sixteen on 17th August, 1939, height 5 ft., housemaid, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair complexion, lightbrown hair, hazel eyes; dressed in a roan-coloured skirt, blue or cream jumper, brown, navy, or black shoes, bright sun-tan stockings, navy, brown, or red felt hat, or a black straw hat with georgette trimming at back, and light-fawn overcoat. She was operated on for appendicitis in April last, and on the Bth May she disappeared from her home at 2 Firth Road, Grey Lynn. Her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Alicia Dunn, desires her to be induced to return home.
Wellington. Since the 3rd instant, Hartley Roy Sellers, age about fifty-five, height 6 ft., thin build, heavy dark eyebrows, long sinewy fingers, long narrow feet; dressed in a brown tweed suit, light-coloured raincoat, and light-brown felt bat, and wears horn-rimmed glasses; walks with a slight stoop. He was secretary of the New Zealand Racing Conference, and was last seen in Willis Street, Wellington, at 9.55 a.m. on the 3rd instant. Fears are entertained for his safety as he was depressed over private matters. 24 f '<&?.
