INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (Australia). —A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the persons described hereunder on the following charge : “On the 24th June, 1938, in the State of New South Wales, did steal twenty table-covers of the value of £3O, the property of Mark Foys, Limited” —(1) John Reid, age forty-eight, height 5 ft. 9 in., thin build, fair complexion, fair hair receding at forehead, large discoloured teeth; dressed in a fawn suit, leather overcoat, and grey felt hat. Identical with George Cunningham, alias Thomas Roberts, in New South Wales Photo-book 85/141. (2) George Wallace, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 10 in., thin build, stooped, fair complexion and hair, thin features; dressed in a navy-blue or fawn suit, grey tweed overcoat, and grey felt hat. They may be accompanied by Rene Williams, who is a skilful “ shoplifter.” Their arrest is desired. (P. 38/1454.)
