Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).— or 29th April last, from the band-room on the ship “ Franconia,” the property of L. F. HOPE, musician, a light-brown leather oblong case about 12 in. by 5 in. by 4 in., containing a B flat clarinet, black wood with silver keys, made by Boosey and Hawkes, London; value, £24. Identifiable.
Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). Between the 12th and 21st May last, from a suit-case in the seamen’s quarters on the ship “ Wanganella,” the property of JOHN HOLCROFT, a gentlemen’s chromium-plated oblong wristletwatch, Arabic numerals, outside back case pitted, chromiumplated ribbed wrist-band attached ; value, £2. Identifiable.
Wellington. loth June last, from a cloak-room in Gilby’s College, 106 Courtenay Place, the property of MIRIAM O’DEA, 193 Hansen Street, an Indian lamb fur coat, swagger make, lined with brown satin, flat collar, “ D.1.C.” on tab at neck ; value, £l6 10s. Identifiable.
Dunedin. —-On the 19th May last, the dwelling of FRANCIS JOSEPH BEEL, 10 Helena Street, was broken into and the following stolen : £3 ss. in money ; and an old cheque-book on the Bank of New Zealand, Dunedin, Nos. 532100 to 532200. Cheque-book only identifiable.
