Kaitaia.— 24th March last, from the dwelling of JAMES MAJOR DYHRBERG, Wireless Road, a post-office savingsbank book, Auckland, No. 643353 ; and a leatherette wallet, 6 in. by 4 in., brown and white check pattern, zipp-fastener, containing a£s note; value of wallet, ss. Identifiable except money.

C. Harrison” on inside back case ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Wanganui. About the 17th ultimo, from the armoury at the Wanganui Technical College, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Defence Department), two bolts and two magazines from S.M.L.E. rifles, bolts numbered A. 1554 and H. 83814; value, £1 16s. 4d. Identifiable.

Seddon.- Between the 4th and 31st January last, from the camp at Clarence Bridge, the property of WALLACE NORTHCOAT, care of Alan Moore, contractor, a gentlemen’s chromium-plated square wristlet-watch, Arabic numerals; value, £2. Identification doubtful. Between the 31st January and 15th February last from the same camp, the property of CHARLES WILLIAM ANDERSON, a silver general service Great War medal, and a bronze Great War medal, each has inscribed on edge, “ Private C. W. Anderson, 50th Battalion, A.1.F., No. 3264 ” ; two Australian Rising sun badges; two shoulder badges ; and a steel foot rule; value of rule, 2s. Medals and badges only identifiable. Between the 3rd and 10th February last from the same camp, the property of PATRICK BRETT BULLEN NIXON, a silver cigarette-case, about 6 in. by 3 in. by \ in., coat-of-arms of 23rd and 55th Squadrons on top covers, eagle with wings spread engraved in centre of back, “ F. H. B. Nixon ” on inside case, patent fastener which is not visible from outside; value, £lO. Identifiable. Suspicion for the above offences is attached to Vincent George Ryan Wallace, referred to in Police Gazette, 1932, page 221, and Photographs, page 53. He was employed at the Clarence Bridge at the time the offences were committed, and he is also suspected of other similar offences. He has been interviewed by the Morrinsville police, but no evidence resulted.

Linwood. 26th ultimo, the property of NORMAN HENRY AUSTIN, 53 Rochester Street, a -22 calibre singleshot Winchester rifle, model 1902 ; value, 15s. Identifiable. The rifle was lost from the rear carrier of a motor-car between Rakaia and Christchurch.

Suspicion is attached to Richard Rennals, age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, sallow complexion, sandy hair, blue eyes with red under them, looks from underneath his eye-lids; dressed in a clerical grey suit, black rolled-neck jumper, and dark tweed overcoat.
