(See New Zealand Gazette, 1938, page 964') Serial Number 1938/49. The Chattels Transfer (Customary Hire-purchase) Order 1938. GALWAY, Governor-General. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 12th day of April, 1938. Present: The Right Hon. M. J. Savage presiding in Council. Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 57 of the Chattels Transfer Act, 1924, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and being satisfied that a practice has been established of dealing with the chattels or classes of chattels described or defined in the Schedule hereto by the method of hire-purchase, doth hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Chattels Transfer (Customary Hire-purchase) Order 1938. 2. The chattels or classes of chattels described or defined in the Schedule hereto are hereby added to the class of chattels defined in the Seventh Schedule to the said Act. 3. This Order in Council shall come into force on the day following notification of the making thereof in the Gazette. SCHEDULE. Electric vacuum cleaners. Electric refrigerators. Radio sets and equipment. Bicycles. C. A. JEFFERY, Clerk of the Executive Council.
