Gisborne. —Since the 17th instant, James Mellor, age about thirty, height 5 ft. 7 in., salesman, native of New Zealand, good build, swarthy complexion, short dark hair, blue eyes, upturned nose; usually dressed in a grey coat, grey flannel trousers, and black shoes (no hat); erect gait with long stride. He was employed by the Mineral Supply Co., 88 Princess Street, Palmerston North, and on the 17th instant his motor-car, registration No. 60,673, containing his clothes, was found abandoned on the Waikanae Beach, Gisborne. Fears are entertained for his safety.
