Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities. (See New Zealand Gazette, 1937, page 1034.)

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby declare the respective areas described in the Schedule hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motorvehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE. Situated within Oxford CountyAll that area adjoining Kaiapoi-Waddington via Rangiora and Bennetts Main Highway No. 112, known as Main Street, Oxford Township, from a point 5 chains east of the junction of the main highway with High Street to the junction of the main highway with Depot Road. All that area adjoining Rangiora-Oxford via Loburn Main Highway No. 111, known as High Street, Oxford Township, from the junction of the main highway with Main Street to the junction of the main highway with McJarrows Road.
