Auckland. — Maurice Larkin, default of fines and costs, has paid the amount to the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 241.)

Auckland. William Pairama, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Raglan police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 435.)

Auckland. Cora Amy Pah!, inquired for, has been located by the Christchurch police, and no further action is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1935, page 375.)

Auckland. — Clive Frederick Hammond, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 403.)

Auckland. George Hughes, failing to maintain: The maintenance order referred to has been cancelled, and no further action is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1919, pages 219 and 437.)

Opotiki. James D. A. Scott, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Pahiatua police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 455.)

Hamilton.— Eraser, and Co.’s warehouse broken into : James Bernard Lawless has pleaded guilty to the offence. None of the stolen property has been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 96.)

Gisborne. James Murray, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Tauranga police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 387.)

Taumarunui. George Kelso Peat, default of balance of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Taupo police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, pages 435 and 455.)

Napier. William Henry Weight, alias Wright, convicted of bigamy, died at Trentham on the 26th ultimo. (See Police Gazette, 1924, page 386.)

Hawera— Arthur William Reed, alias Arnold William Reed, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Auckland police. (See .Police Gazette, 1936, page 455.)

Wanganui. Willie or A. F. Clark, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Wanganui police, and admits the offence. He is identical with Albert Frederick Clarke, alias Smith, referred to in Police Gazette, 1936, page 295. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 281.)

Foxton. William Henry Hart, money, &c., stolen: The property has been found, and Henry Robert Ker is not now suspected of the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 159.)

Wellington.' Ernest Walter Healey, alias Ernest Warren, alias Ernest Ainsworth, convicted of unlawfully using a motor-car (see Police Gazette, 1935, page 513, and 1936, page 49). The date of conviction as recorded in the Gazette is incorrect and should read “ 14/8/35.” All copies of the Police Gazette are to be amended.

Wellington. — Ruby Ransom, alias Phyllis Kreig, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Mount Cook police. She had assumed the name Rita Kreig. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 67.)

Christchurch. — Daphne Mona Savage, escaping from mental hospital, has been arrested by the Invercargill police. She had assumed the name Simpson. (See Police Gazette 1936, page 472.)

Christchurch. — Matilda Reynolds, convicted of bigamy, died at Sydenham on the 23rd June last. (See Police Gazette, 1929, page 645.)

Timaru. — O’Brien, alias John Moore, failing to pay unemployment levies, has been located by the Clinton police, and no further action is to be taken. (See Police Gazette, 1934, page 454.)

Lumsden. — Mahalm, convicted of theft, is identical with a man of the same name referred to in Police Gazette 1931, pages 713 and 729. The necessary reference should be entered in all copies of the Police Gazette. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 450.)

Invercargill. Patrick Smith, alias Peter Smith, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 269.)
