UNCLAIMED PROPERTY.
Auckland. —The undermentioned property was recovered by the Auckland police from a house at 9 Cheltenham Road, Devonport, Auckland, having been abandoned by Leslie Richmond Henderson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1936, page 171. He is unable to satisfactorily account for his possession of the property, and inquiries have failed to discover the owner : A pair of ladies’ brown suede gauntlet gloves; a gentlemen’s brown silk scarf with grey checks, about 2 ft. 6 in. square; a gentlemen’s light-brown leather overcoat, lining of brown material which is detachable; a boy’s College brand cricket bat, supplied by Frank Wisemans, Ltd., Auckland; a gentlemen’s brown and dark-grey check double-breasted tweed overcoat, half lined, Viking make, “ Import Co., Balclutha,” on tag; a plain gold-filled locket, about f in. square; a rolled-gold brooch in form of wishbone with kiwi; a gold-filled brooch, set with four aquamarines ; and a silver-coloured brooch of floral design, set with a large yellow stone and several brilliants. tee ZS//o/3&. .
