About 11 p.m. in Manuk Road, Epsom, accused obscenely exposed himself to Margaret Berringer. No warrant.

Auckland. 6th January last, for obscene exposure, Man (name unknown), age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair and eyebrows; wearing dark trousers and brown shirt, and he was riding a red racing bicycle with a pair of paint-stained trousers strapped to rear of bicycle. At New North Road, Morningside, accused obscenely exposed himself to Pay Livinia Geard, schoolgirl, Wairere Avenue, Mount Albert. No warrant.

Auckland. l9th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for four days in default of paying £1 18s. fine and costs for having an unlicensed radio in his possession, Percy Erbon Nicholson, alias Erban Percy Nicholson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1934, page.J69.

Papakuka. — January last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for fourteen days in default of paying £3 10s. fine and costs for driving a motor-car in a dangerous manner, John Edward King, age twenty-nine, height about 5 ft. 5 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, scar on right side of forehead; usually dressed in a light suit with hat and shirt to match; fond of drink. Rotorua. —12th ultimo, on warrant for theft of a bicycle (recovered), value £B, the property of Laurence Francis Carlisle, 124 Hinemoa Street, EdriC Hira Kaipa, age sixteen, height 4 ft. 10 in., medium build, copper complexion, darkbrown hair, brown eyes ; dressed in blue serge shorts, brown check coat, blue woollen shirt, stockings with red tops, and black boots. For the above-mentioned offence the accused was served with a summons to appear at the Children’s Court on the 21st ultimo, but he disappeared from the home of the Child Welfare Officer, who had charge of him pending the hearing.

Gisborne. 2oth January last, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his children, George Anderson, alias Jack Peters, age fortyseven, height 5 ft. 6|- in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, fair hair, hazel eyes, discoloured teeth, large scar on right leg, scar on back of one hand. He associates with Maoris, speaks their language, and is so very dark that he could be mistaken for a Maori. His photograph is filed. Arrears to 2nd December last, £lO 3s.

Hawera. 2lst ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order -the support of his wife, Ada Harwood, Roy Francis Harwood, alias Buckland, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 11 in., painter and bottlegatherer, native of fymenesi;^ strong build, fresh complexion, long dark-brown hair, brown eyes, scar on left arm, on hack of head, and on right foot; Usually shabbily dressed in a blue suit and felt hat with wide brim ; erect gait; frequents billiard-saloons. Napier.— 2sth ultimo, on warrant for theft of a pair of gentlemen’s shoes (recovered), value £l, the property of some person unknown, Frank Albert Reed, alias Reid, referred to in Police Gazette, 1935, page 331, and Photographs, 1914, page 11. At Napier Police Station he was being interviewed regarding his movements, and also his possession of a parcel which he was seen to place in a motor-car. He left the police station unobserved, and inquiries revealed that the parcel contained a pair of shoes, the . owner of cannot be found. 2 5/VJ 6

Hastings. 4th January last, for false pretences, John Robert McKay, alias Watson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1934, page 597. Accused obtained a pair of ladies’ shoes and a pair of gentlemen’s shoes, value £1 165., and £8 4s. casi from F. Thorp and Co., boot importers, Heretaunga Street! by means of a valueless cheque for £lO, No. A. 545610, drawn ; by D. Preston on the Bank of Australasia, Waipawa, in favour of L. Clifford. The cheque is from the cheque-book of Claude William McKay, tailor, Waipawa (who is a brother of accused)?, and it was stolen some time since 11th November last. Dunedin. —19th ultimo, on warrant for false pretences, Rex Norris, alias William George Thomas, alias George William Thomas, alias William Grey, age forty-three, height 5 ft. 6| in., printer, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, hazel eyes, scar on top of left forefinger and on abdomen; dressed in a navy-blue suit with doublebreasted coat, fawn woolly overcoat, spotted blue tie, darkblue hat with blue band, and black shoes and socks. Accused advertised in the “ Evening Star ” newspaper to the effect that he desired to meet a lady with a view to matrimony, and Lucy Elizabeth Dobbie, after replying to the advertisement, met him. He falsely represented himself to be a doctor of chemistry with a pharmacy in Adelaide, Australia, from which he said he was receiving £lO per week. After promising to marry complainant, he obtained £139 from her by means of the false representations referred to. He may endeavour to leave this Dominion.
