A 82322 to A 82325 ; five 75., A 69482 to A 69486 ; one Bs., No. A 58528 ; one 155., No. A 98892 ; one 165., No. 070052; one 17s. 6d., No. 066645 ; one 205., No. 488360 ; all postal-notes unused and undated ; postal stamps, value £lB Is. 6d.; relief stamps, value £9 6s. 4d. ; and £26 19s. 4d. in money ; also two sovereigns and three halfsovereigns (recovered); a heavy gold watch-chain with long links; and about £5 in money, the property of HENRY WILLIAM STEPHEN CHEESEMAN: total value, £74. Whangarei.— 23rd December and 21st January last, from a crushing-plant at Kauri, the property of the WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL, a brass cylinder lubricator, 2| in. in diameter, 6 in. long, screw top with bar ; a brass cup lubricator, 2Jin. in diameter, 3 in. high, stem screwed f in. ; a 1{- in. brass screw valve ; a hollow centre brass releaser adjusting screw, 3 in. long, in. thread; a brass hexagon release-plug, f in. thread ; a § in. brass gooseneck, about 12 in. long ; two i in. and two J in. brass hexagon headed plugs for gauge-glass mountings ; two f in. brass blow-down pipes about 3 ft. long ; five brass hexagon lubri-cating-cups, f in. hole, 1 in. Whitworth thread ; two brass cylinder lubricators, 2 in. in diameter, 4| in. long, f in. thread, packing-nut on top, adjustable needle-valve fitted inside sleeve-valve ; a J in. brass steam-valve ; 2 ft. of f in. brass oil-pipe, threaded at each end ; and an adjustable Releaser safety-valve, square head, fin. thread, about 3 in. Between the 13th and 15th ultimo, from a cabin on the s.s. “ Rotorua,” the property EDGAR FREDERICK CLOW, quartermaster, a gentlemen’s gold-filled Rolex Marconi dress watch, grey or silver grained face, with “ Walker, London,” on it, number either B. 195 or A. 254; value, £5. Auckland. —2oth ultimo, from the shop of SKEATES BROS., 82 Queen Street, a 15 ct. gold brooch in the form of an oval bow with leaves, set with two diamonds and one pearl; value, £6 10s. Identifiable.

Between 9th and 10th ultimo, the property of WALTER REUBEN VAUGHAN, 21 Karaka Street, Newton, a nickel Swiss pocket watch, “ Pascoe’s ” on dial, Roman numerals; a gentlemen’s 15 ct. gold watch-chain, double fetter and three ovals, with a 9 ct. gold pendant, set with an imitation amethyst bead attached: total value, £ll ss. Auckland. — 21st January last, the property of GEORGINA JEFFREY, Rangatire Road, Birkdale, a ladies’ brown leather purse, about 5 in. by 3 in., zip fastener; an 18 ct. gold watch, “G. Forshaw ” inscribed on inside ; and 3s. 7d. in money : total value, £5. Identifiable except money.

Auckland. 2nd ultimo, from a dressing-shed at Orakei Basin, Remuera, the property of GEORGE FREDERICK DONN, Blind Institute, Parnell, a gentlemen’s nickel pocket Swiss “Braille” watch, closed face with double case at back, white dial with black English numerals, gold hands raised with white dots with black ring indicating the numerals. This type of watch is only obtainable from the Institute for the Blind ; value, £3 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland. — ultimo, the dwelling of JOHN COURTIER CRAWSHAW, 58 St. Helier’s Bay Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A small pair of opera glasses, black morocco leather binding, single centre screw adjustment, small compass between lenses; a bottle of No. 252 lavender water, and a bottle of Otto of Roses: total value, £2 7s. 6d. Opera glasses only identifiable.

Auckland. 27th January last, from his clothing at Orakei Basin, the property of NEVILLE LAURENCE OLDHAM, 8 Omahu Road, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold square Swiss wristlet-watch, “ S.A.Y.” engraved on back case, No. 72667, with pigskin leather wristlet attached; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland. Between the 12th and 13th instant, from a room at No. 8 Wellington Street, the property of MATE YURAN, nine £5 notes; two £1 notes, and one 10s. note : total value, £47 10s. Not identifiable.
