Pongaroa. —The man described hereunder is to be located and interviewed : Man (name unknown), age about fifty-five, height about 5 ft. 6 in., slight build, black beard; ' dirty appearance, and carried a swag. On the 26th September last he was seen in an unoccupied dwelling at Korora, the property of Lars Peter Hansen, and he had then lighted a fire in the house. Next morning he vacated the house which, in the afternoon, was destroyed by fire. When located he is to be interviewed regarding the occurrence. The building was valued at £3OO.

Wellington. sth October last, on warrant for obtaining credit by fraud, C. E. Campbell, alias G. M. Mason (names probably fictitious), age about twenty-six, height 5 ft. 9 in., slight build, fair complexion ; dressed in a blue/suit and hat; quietly spoken. Accused, in incurring a debt of £1 9s. 6d! with Messrs. E. C. Browne and Co., mercers, Willis Street,' for a pair of shoes, obtained credit by fradulently representing that he was C. E. Campbell, of Campbell and Co., 28-32 Queen Street, Auckland, and also that he was the New Zealand a* f ent for the Nobel Explosive Co. °

Wellington. 27th ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his child, Ernest Walter Gray, age forty-three, height 5 ft. 44 in., cook and labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair fresh complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes, slightly bent nose, tip of left little finger injured, scar on left thumb and over right eye; usually well dressed in a navyblue suit, dark-brown hat, and tan shoes; quietly spoken; erect gait.
