Webster (name probably fictitious), age about thirty-five, height about 5 ft. 10 in., slight build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue-grey eyes, probably small moustache ; may be dressed in dark trousers, grey-brown sports coat, and felt hat (or may be wearing the suit referred to below); pleasant manner. Accused, who stayed at the Family Hotel, borrowed a cheque-form, filled it in for £8 10s., and by means of the cheque which was valueless obtained a navy-blue serge suit (“ Schneideman ” on tab on neck of coat, “ 2263 ” on tab in breast pocket), value £6 65., and £2 4s. cash, from Schneideman’s, Ltd., tailors, The Square. He is also suspected of stealing a Universal electric-iron, value £1 12s. 6d., the property of Gordon Whiteford. He may be identical with James Ogden Alexander, alias A. N.
