Auckland. —7th ultimo, from the person of JAMES CANNON, Tomarata, Wellsford, a gentlemen’s gold openface watch, gold dial and hands, No. 97090, made by Sari and Sons, 17—18 Cornhill, London; als ct. gold curb albert, with spade guinea attached ; a copper disk, which may have “88” on it ; and a number of small keys : total value, £35. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about twenty-five, height 6 ft. 2 in., slight build, fair complexion ; wearing a brown suit amd dark-grey hat ; smart appearance. The articles were stolen from complainant while he was under the influence of liquor.

Auckland. GERTRUDE AGNES VALVOI, 12 Rama Road, Point Chevalier, a ring, set with five garnets, one of which is missing ; and a gentlemen’s gold band ring, “ J.V.” engraved on it with ruby set between initials : total value, £2. Identifiable.

Auckland. Between the 17th and 18th August last, the warehouse of TOLLY AND SONS, LTD., Tasman Buildings, Anzac Avenue, was broken into and the following stolen : An aluminium kettle ; two electric irons, Creda Eclipse brand ; fourteen coils of wire, Johnson and Phillips brand; six coils of 1/044 cable; five coils of 7/029 cable; and 22 yd. of cab-tyre flex : total value, £l7. Identifiable.

Auckland. Between the 3rd and 4th ultimo, the bootfactory of KELLY AND RATTRAY, 46 Upper Queen Street, was broken into and the following stolen : Four pairs of gentlemen’s black boots with rubber soles and heels ; and eight pairs of gentlemen’s tan boots, sizes 6,7, and 10 : total value, £9 12s. Identifiable.

Ellerslie. —Between 1920 and 12th July, 1933, the property of GEORGE P. WATKINS, Penrose, a -22 calibre seven-chambered Harrington and Richardson revolver, No. 053723 ; value, £1 10s. Identifiable.

Otoroiianga. On the 24th August last, from the dwelling of ANDREW BEGGS, farmer, Waitomo Valley Road, a gentlemen’s gold ring, set with a large diamond in claw setting ; a grey Stetson hat, size 64 ; a pair of brown leather slippers, size 9 ; a pair of gentlemen’s black leather boots, size 9 ; a pepper-and-salt-coloured scarf ; a white shirt with blue stripes, size 5; a brown woollen singlet ; and £1 10s. in money : total value, £57. Rata Street, were broken into and the following stolen : A till (recovered) ; a quantity of cigarettes and tobacco, assorted brands : a small black and white mottled marble clock ; twelve pairs of ladies’ Bonds Charm hose ; three pairs of ladies’ gun-metal coloured hose ; twelve pairs of ladies’ dark silk and wool hose; a ladies’ nickel-silver wristlet-watch, “9/11 ” marked on leather wristlet; and about £1 ss. in money and stamps : total value, £l3 3s. 6d. Watch only identifiable. •

RYAN, solicitor, Regent Street, a cash-box, size about 4 in. by 10 in.; a post-office savings-bank book in name of Mrs. Mary Cramp ; a post-office savings-bank book of the Executors of Robert Farrell (deceased) ; a post-office savings-bank book of the Executors of Martin Bolger (deceased); inscribed stock receipts in name of Miss M. Crabb; New Plymouth Finance Co. receipt in name of A. E. Gardner (deceased) ; a wages-book, signed M. K. Dolan ; unemployment receipts for Mary Crabb, G. H. Wanganui. 29th July last, from a motor-car in Great North Road, the property of DESMOND FRANCIS NEVILLE CAMPION, Okirae, Fordell, a brown leather suit-case, with ' D.P.C.” in gold letters on it; and a dinner suit with satin lapels, black braid on trousers, fit a man about 5 ft. 10 in. : total value, £lO. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. —Between the 29th July and 12th August last, the property of- DORIS ELIZABETH COLE, 264 Church Street, a ladies’ gold wristlet- watch, with gold expanding wristlet; and an 18 ct. gold ring, set with four diamonds in half hoop : total value, £24. Identifiable.

Wellington.— On the 19th ultimo, from the dwelling of BHANA PAMA. 6 Adelaide Road, a gentlemen’s New Guinea gold Swiss wristlet-watch, with gold wristlet attached, which is made of three lengths of curb chain joined together by letters forming the name “ Dullbh, P.” ; a black leather purse, size about 7 in. by 4A- in.; a document forming. an agreement between Madhav Bhikha and Ramn Govind, referring to the sale of a fruit round for £215; and £3O in money : total value, £4O 15s. Identifiable except money.

Nelson. Between the 6t,h and 9th ultimo, the property of ARTHUR NELSON FIELD, Okiwi Bay, Croixcelles, two hundred and twelve opossum skins, greys and blacks ; value £4O. Identification doubtful. Suspicion is attached to Leonard Alma Turner, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 10 in., farmer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, fair hair, blue eyes, left middle-finger missing ; an ex professional boxer ; usually dressed in a blue suit and grey felt hat. The skins were kept in a hut which was burnt down, and they are believed to have been stolen. Suspect may endeavour to dispose of the skins at some place other than Nelson.

Christchurch. —Between the 15th and 16th August last, from a paddock in Milnes Road, the property of ALFRED LOU.TSSON, corner of Clyde Road and Hinau Street, a green canvas cover, size 16 ft. by 20 ft., “ Alfred Louisson ” painted in 6-in. letters on each end; value, £7 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch. Between the 11th and 13th August last, the dwelling of OSCAR PAULSEN, 19 Stenness Avenue, Spreydon, was broken into and the following stolen: A carpet (recovered) ; a chesterfield, covered with moquette, grey background with blue and black pattern over it, and two arm-chairs to match with short arm-rests ; a light oak mantel clock, oval top, round face, about 4 in. in diameter ; a light oak mantel clock, tower shape, gun-metal coloured dial, about 5 in. in diameter ; an antique copper readinglamp, stand is made of three pipes twisted together, about 30 in. high ; an antique copper reading-lamp, Buddha holding incense-burner on knees, about 15 in. high; an electric heater, made by Daly Bros. ; a pair of gentlemen’s navyblue serge trousers, with small holes in left knee ; two pictures in dark oak frames—size- about. NO in. Ly 24 in., scenes of “ A Castle on the Rhino.” and “ A Dutch Fisherman ” ; a pair of gentlemen’s dark woollen gloves with darn in one palm ; a gold-bar brooch, set with a small pink stone ; several pairs of blankets and sheets, &c. : total value, £SO. Mostly identifiable. The carpet was sold to Hutchinson and White, auctioneers, by Timothy Joseph O’Sullivan, who has been charged with receiving the carpet knowing it to have been stolen. 3 f/y-
