MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION.
Circular No. 2/1933. Intoxicated Motorists. Parties to motor accidents or breaches of the law in which motor-vehicles are involved and in which the consumption of alcohol plays a part should be examined as soon as possible by a medical man called by the police for that purpose. This practice should be followed in all cases of arrest of an intoxicated driver.
In cases where there is no arrest the party concerned should, if he offers no objection, be examined by a medical man called by the police. If the party insists on calling his own doctor and refuses to be examined by a doctor called by the police, the latter should not press the point further. W. G. WOHLMANN, Commissioner of Police. Wellington, 31st Augusj;, 1933. (P. 33/973.) tiPCi / ''CCtLc &C.
