Wanganui. —On or about the sth November, 1932, that he may be interviewed regarding false pretences, Herbert Southee, alias Bert Primo Burns, age twenty-seven, height 6 ft., labourer and lorry-driver, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, black hair, scar on left hand ; quiet manner, and neither drinks nor smokes. On or about the sth November last, the above-named represented that he owned, at Henderson, Auckland, a house and 9 acres of land, and in pursuance of this representation, without inspecting the property, Roy Verdie Green, labourer, 141 Harrison Street, purchased it, giving Southee £25 deposit. The latter may be accompanied by Mrs. Edie McCormick (age twenty-five, medium height and build, dark hair and complexion) and her three-year-old daughter. He has assumed the name Bert Primo Burns, and represents himself to be a half-caste Italian.
