PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland. —Between the 18th and 19th instant, the shop of DOMINIC MCCARTHY, tailor, Seccombs Road, was broken into and the following stolen: Three brown worsted suit-lengths, branded “ Reliable ” ; two blue suit-lengths, with fancy stripes ; eight- grey worsted suit-lengths; and seven suit-lengths : total value, £SO. Identifiable.

Te Awamutu. 23rd ultimo, the property of JOSEPH ONSLOW, Ohaupo, a silver English lever watch, “ A Yewdell, Leeds,” on dial; a gentlemen’s mauve suit, with black stripes ; a white shirt; and a stock-whip, with green cord handle: total value, £5. Watch only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to William Bucler, age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., slight build, fair complexion, fair curly hair. Complainant was employed by Mr. O’Connor, farmer, Ohaupo and when leaving left a suit-case in the room which he had occupied. The suspect was subsequently given employment on the same farm, and occupied the room vacated by complainant. He left suddenly next morning, taking the abovementioned property with him.

Gisborne. Between the 10th and 12th ultimo, the shop of GISBORNE SHEEPFARMERS’ MERCANTILE CO., Gladstone Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A gentlemen’s nickel wristlet watch; five packets of Gillette safety-razor blades; a Gillette safety-razor; a Wardone safety-razor ; a Valet safety-razor ; a stainless bread-knife, with white handle ; and an electro-plated entree dish : total value, £5 10s. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Two Men (names unknown)(l) Age about nineteen, height 5 ft. 6 in., medium build ; wearing a grey sports suit: and (2) age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 6 in., medium build ; wearing a grey suit.

Wanganui.— 27th ultimo, the property of JOHN IRVIN, 130 Bell Street, a2A Brownie box camera; a nickel-plated wristlet-watch, with luminous dial; and £1 6s. 2d. in money : total value, £3. Identifiable except money. The articles were stolen from complainant’s clothes at the Castled iff beach.

Wanganui. —Between the 31st ultimo and Ist instant, from the Cairnbrae Hospital, the property of MARGARET PRESTON, an H.M.V. large size table model gramophone, crack across back and side ; value, £27 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington.— On the 31st ultimo, the premises of W. D. DOBSON AND CO., LTD., 58 Taranaki Street, were broken into and the following stolen: Eight bottles of Jamaica rum ; five bottles of Old Tom gin; four bottles of Penfold wine; three bottles of Prunier brandy; four bottles of French Vermouth, branded “ Noilly Prat ” ; a half-bottle of cocktail. The rum and cocktail has on the labels “ Bottled in New Zealand by W. D. Dobson and Co., Ltd., 58 Taranaki Street, Wellington ” : total value, £l2. - Cocktail and Prunier brandy only identifiable.

Christchurch. —On the 18th ultimo, the shop of CLARENCE ALBERT ANDERSON, 131 Waltham Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A gentlemen’s gold albert with a greenstone Maltese Cross attached, with “ Kia Ora ”on it; a 9 ct. gold oblong brooch, set with five small pearls; and a large quantity of tobacco and cigarettes, assorted brands: total value, £26 10s. 4d. Watfch-chain and brooch only identifiable.

Balclutha. —24th ultimo, the property of GUEST AND SONS, LTD., merchants, Clyde Street, £36 in £1 notes; not identifiable. About 10 p.m., a Man (name unknown), with a muffler over his, face and a cap pulled well over hisforehead, menaced with a. revolver Miss» Cameron, . the. cashier, snatched from a till in the cash-register a handful of notes, and disappeared by a rear^foou.
