Huntly. 29th February last, that he may be interviewed regarding alleged forgery of a document, viz., “ A Waiver by Right of Distraint,” Thomas Ctubb, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 7 in., farmer, native of England, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair and eyes, scar on left cheek extending round eyebrows in the form of a circle; dressed in a brown tweed suit, tan shoes, and brown felt hat; fond of drink. Accused borrowed £3OO from the Finance Corporation of New Zealand, Ltd., Victoria Street, Hamilton, on an instrument by way of security over cattle and implements on a farm at Kimihia. When the instrument was signed complainant’s solicitors —Mac Diarmid, Mears, and Gray, of —delivered to Clubb for execution by his landlord, Mrs. Nellie McGlynn, a “ Waiver of Right of Distraint,” a document to which he was requested to obtain Mrs. Me Glynn’s signature. Wanganui. ultimo, on warrant for obtaining from Neil McKenzie Forbes, licensee, Provincial Hotel,, for accommodation credit to the amount of £1 12s. 6d. by fraud, A. Paterson (name probably fictitious), age about fifty, height 5 ft. 9 in., medium build, conspicuously dark complexion, brown hair turning grey, bushy eyebrows turning grey; dressed in a clerical-grey suit, patent-leather shoes, and bow tie. He may be identical with man of same name referred to in Police/Gazette, 1906, page 143.

Shannon. 2Bth ultimo, that proceedings for failing to notify their change of address may be instituted against them (Arms Act), John Halliday, labourer. On 11th June, 1921, he registered a ’22 Favourite rifle, No. F. 249, and the rifle and certificate are to be inspected ; and Archibald Reid, age fifty-two, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of Scotland, strong build, fresh complexion, sandy hair turning grey and going bald, blue eyes. On 18th June, 1921, he registered a '303 Martini Henry rifle, No. 111. (See Police Gazette, 1928, page 744.)
