Accused stated that he had purchasers at New Plymouth and Inglewood waiting for wireless-sets, and persuaded complainant to let him have four sets, one of which he sold to John Harold Groves, Eltham, for £l3. He failed to forward any money to complainant, and has disappeared.

Smith (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-two, height 5 ft. 9 in., strong build, ruddy complexion, dark hair; wears a double-breasted navy-blue nap overcoat (no hat); untidily dressed. Accused obtained goods, value £5 6s. 5d., from the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Cashel Street, by falsely representing that he was a son of George Gage Smith, Broadfields, Canterbury, and that he had authority to have the goods entered to his father’s account.

Any information concerning the offence is to be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Dunedin.
