INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Paris (France). —The above are photographs of two men who are inquired for by the Paris police for having on the 17th May last stolen 3,750,000 francs. The first man is known by the following names : — JamerSOOl, alias James 'j&ee/ fb/£/3k ' St A
John Laurence Burton, alias Sidney James Watson, alias Robert 0. Jacques Evans, alias John Mitchell, alias John Arthur Barry, alias MacGonneil, alias Pat O’Brien, alias John Arthur Williams, alias Mason (see New Zealand Police Gazette, 1906, page 16); and the second man is known by the names, James Coats, alias James David Coates, alias James Mason, alias James Munro, alias Mann, alias Thomson, alias Michael Foy, alias Schultze. • The money was in 1,000 franc notes on the Bank of France. Should they be located in this Dominion an urgent communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (C.R. 24/222.)
