PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland. Between the 7th and 9th-ultimo, the shop of L. T. DANVERS AND CO., Great South Road, Otahuhu, was broken into and the following stolen : Nine yards of rayon silk ; ten boys’ shirts ; five gentlemen’s shirts ; twenty-two pairs of boys’ blue serge trousers ; three pairs of “ Boy Proof ” trousers; and three gentlemen’s heavy tweed suits : total value, £l3 10s. Identification doubtful.

Auckland. On the 26th September last, the dwelling of WILFRED CHADWICK, 38 Balmoral Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A 50 cent silver coin with King George’s head on one side; a black leather pocketwallet, with “ E. C. Browne and Co.” on it, containing sundry papers; a bottle of Bell’s whisky; a bottle of champagne brandy ; a bottle of Silick’s sherry ; a bottle of rum ; a twocell nickel torch ; and a pocket-knife in a German-silver case : total value, £3 9s. Wallet and knife only identifiable.

Auckland. —2Bth October last, the property of LESLIE HARRISON HAYSOM, 156 Grafton Road, a brown fibre suit-case, size 20 in. by 12 in., containing four bottles of Harrison’s machine oil; four bottles of iodine; three bottles of camphorated-oil; three tins of sticking-plaster ; a quantity of laces ; mending-wool; &c. : total value, £1 11s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Bill Greer (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-seven, height 6ft., good build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, well spoken, and good appearance. The suspect was employed canvassing for complainant, and disappeared with the suit-case and contents.

Auckland. —10th ultimo, from a room in the Sailors’ Home, the property of DIGBY JOHN MASON BAYNE, a pair of Carl Zeiss field-glasses, in brown leather case with long strap ; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Ngaruawahia. —Between 1921 and 1929, the property of WILFRED OLLIVER PEDERSEN (deceased), a fivechambered Harrington and Richardson revolver, '3B calibre, No. 319797. Identifiable.

Hamilton. —On the 9th October last, the dwelling of Martha Rose Gifford, 4 Oakley Avenue, was broken into and the following, property of NOEL HOWDEN stolen: A gentlemen’s navy-blue serge suit, double-breasted coat with wide lapels, made in London ; value, £lO 10s. Identifiable.

Hamilton. Between the 19th and 20th ultimo, from the dwelling of JOHN HUNTER, 74a Ulster Street, and another, a gentlemen’s gold open-face watch (combined timekeeper and stop watch), “John Hunter, Hamilton, Waikato,” on inside of back case ; two 15 ct. gold watch-chains, fetter and three ovals, similar to illustration No. 22 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2 (one chain has a sovereign and the other a greenstone pendant attached); a Hamilton Post Office Savings-bank book, No. 22419, in name of Hugh Hunter ; a black leather wallet with spring clasp; and a brown leather wallet: total value, £2O 10s. Wellington. —On the 25th ultimo, the dwelling of MARGARET WILHELMINA PHILLIPS, 47 Roy Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ 14 ct. gold wristlet-watch, chased case with “ D.M.C.M.” and shield on back, black ribbon wristlet attached ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —3rd ultimo, from a motor-car in Cashel Street, the property of NORMAN DUGALD FERRIER CAMPBELL, Motunau, a Leica camera, German make, black imitation-leather covering, size 6 in. by 2-£ in. by in., in brown leather case with shoulder strap ; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —Between the Ist and 2nd ultimo, the shop of GEORGE HENRY PEARCE, 277 Colombo Street, Sydenham, was broken into and the following stolen : A large quantity of cigarettes and tobacco, assorted brands ; a Moose razor-strop ; a quantity of matches ; &c. : total value, £l6 os. lOd. Not identifiable.

Christchurch. Between the 21st and 22nd October last, a shop, the property of FRED BLUNT, draper, Seaview Road, was broken into and the following stolen : Several pairs of ladies’ Locknit bloomers, Canterbury make ; several pairs of ladies’ melotan -coloured stockings, Bond’s Sylk-Rayo make ; and about £6 in money. Not identifiable.

—Between the 26th and 30th ultimo, the premises of THOMSON AND CO., wine and spirit merchants, were broken into and the following stolen : Two cases of Dewars whisky ; nine bottles of Golden Fleece Jamaica rum ; and a bottle of “T ” rum : total value, £2O. Not identifiable.

Suspicion is & ' attached to Teddie Edwards, alias Teddy Eruera, referred to in Police Gazette, 1930, page 411. He has been interviewed and no evidence resulted, but the bicycle may be concealed, and he may at some future time be found using it.
