Auckland. —Ist instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of Mary Hayward, Beach Road, Panmure, Arthur Horace Hayward, age about thirty-nine, lithographic printer, native of England, slight build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved, small scar on one cheek ; usually dressed in a tweed suit and cap, and holds one or both hands behind back. Arrears to 27th ultimo, £144 2s. Bd.
Auckland. —30th ultimo, On warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for six months in default of paying £248 arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, John William Hope, age thirty-nine, height 5 ft. in., electrician, native of England, stout build, fresh complexion, grey hair, blue eyes, scar over left eye and on right, middle finger. Bd., the property of the Te Aroha Co-operative Termmating Building Society, Henry Cumberland Cotton, age forty-four, height about 5 ft. 10 in., clerk, native of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, light-brown hair going bald, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a grey suit, felt hat, and black shoes ; erect gait; quiet manner. Hamilton. loth instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his two children, Stephen Shirley, age thirty-eight, height 6 ft., labourer and fisherman, native of New Zealand, thin build, fresh complexion, black hair, blue eyes, boil-scars on back of neck, right foot crooked, sharp features. Napier.—22nd ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for three months in default of paying £27 10s. arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his illegitimate child, of whom Mona Richdale is the mother, Arthur Joseph Bartlett, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark complexion and hair, brown eyes, scar on each knee ; usually dressed in a dark suit and felt hat; has Maori blood in him. Waverley. —2lst May last, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of abode (Arms Act) may be instituted against him, William John Stacey, labourer. On the 22nd February, 1921, he registered a six-chambered revolver, and left the district soon afterwards.

Wellington. lst April last, that proceedings for failing to register a rifle may be instituted against him, Frederick Amis, traveller. On the 23rd March last he was granted a permit to import a -22 calibre rifle, and instructed to register it at Invercargill.
Wellington. —l3th instant, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of abode may be instituted against him, Henry Tyrell Weeks, manufacturer’s representative. On the 10th October, 1921, he registered a -303 calibre rifle and a •32 calibre revolver. rmM / Wellington. —sth May last, for false pretences, P. J. HorrockS (name probably fictitious), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 7 in., medium build, fair complexion, sunken cheeks. Accused obtained £5 155., a lumber-jacket, and two pairs of bloomers, value 195., from John Moran, draper, 62 Vivian Street, by means of a valueless cheque for £6 14s. The cheque-form had been procured from Winifred Horan, Clyde Quay Hotel, by a man who gave the name D. McGuire. No warrant.
