Sydney (Australia). —A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Gltstaf Reichardt charging him with assaulting Glenholme Regent Latham at Stanmore on the 24th April, 1931. Description : Age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 61 in., carpenter, native of Sweden, stout build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes, full round face ; dressed in a greyish-brown suit and grey felt hat; eagle, American flag, sailing ship, and flowers on left forearm, woman in American and Swedish flags, anchor, heart, cross, and clasped hands on right forearm ; speaks good English. His finger-prints are filed in the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington. If located in New Zealand his arrest is desired on the charge of assault. His photographs appear above. Sydney (Australia). — warrant has been issued for the arrest of Francis Donald Green charging him that at Naroubra on the 16th June, 1931, he being armed with a revolver, did assault James Edward Devine and rob him of a diamond tie-pin ; value, £SO. Description : Age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. sJin., medium build, dark complexion, brown hair and eyes, scar on right cheek from corner of mouth to lobe of ear ; dressed in a dark suit, dark overcoat, and black bowler hat. His arrest is desired. His photograph (N.S.W. Photo-hook, 102/206) is filed in the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington. The following persons are to be located so that they may be interviewed regarding accused’s movements—(l) William Daniel Hourigan, age twenty-three, height sft. 2 in., good build, , fair complexion, brown hair, grey eyes ; and (2) Nellie Cameron, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 1 in., thin build, fair complexion, shingled brown hair. Sydney (Australia). —Money stolen from train between Sydney and Canberra (see Police Gazette, 1931, pages 285 and 315): Three men have been arrested for the offence and all the stolen money except the following recovered : Four hundred and nineteen £5 notes, Nos. Q over 20, 852101852111; Q over 852119-852125; Q over 20, 852139; Q over 20, 852601-852800; and Q over 20, 776501-776700. (P. 31/606.)

Sydney (Australia). — Warrants have been issued for the arrest of —(1) John Hogan, alias Mickey Hogan, alias James Taylor, and (2) Alphonsus Roy Cfune, charging them that on the 9th May, 1931, at Redfern they did feloniously kill George Alfred Cooper. Descriptions : (1) Age about thirty-three, height about 5 ft. 8 in., native of Australia, medium build, dark complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, round shoulders ; dressed in a dark suit, light-brown felt hat, and long dark gabardine overcoat; active appearance ; frequents brothels and sly-grog shops, and associates with bookmakers. (2) Age about twenty-eight, height about 5 ft. 7 in., native of Australia, medium build, florid complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, thin features, scar over one eyelid; dressed in a brown or fawn suit, tan shoes, and sometimes wears a black hard hat or cap, and hornrimmed glasses ; smart appearance ; frequents brothels and sly-grog shops. During the night of the 15th ultimo the shop of Wallace Bishop and Son, jewellers, was broken into and the following stolen : A jade-green oblong ring set with stones ; a jade-green oval ring, fancy silver leaf setting ; a dark-green stone ring, oblong fine filigree setting, shank has also a fancy setting ; a navy sapphire ring with silver fancy setting; a three sapphire ring, 18 ct. gold octagonal platinum setting, diamond shoulder, “ 565”. scratched inside ; a three sapphire 18 ct. gold ring, octagonal platinum setting, diamond shoulders, “ 566 ” scratched inside ; an 18 ct. gold three sapphire ring, hexagonal platinum setting, diamond shoulders, “ 572 ” scratched inside; a 9 ct. gold watch, engraved bezel and loops, No. 78527 ; a 9 ct. gold watch, plain bezel, moire band ; a 9 ct. gold watch, plain bezel, moire band, with gold fancy fittings ; a 9 ct. gold watch, No. 50947, engraved bezel and loops, milanese band; a 9 ct. gold watch, engraved bezel, on fancy band ; a 9 ct. gold watch, engraved bezel, on fancy band ; thirty 9 ct. gold wedding-rings; ninety-four 18 ct. gold plain weddingrings ; five 18 ct. gold faceted wedding-rings; two gold plain centre wedding-rings with engraved sides (some stamped “ Bishop ” inside) ; six 18 ct. gold white sapphire rings, silver settings : total value, £245 ss.
