A statement made by his wife, whom he married at Preston, England, on the 7th November, 1908, is now in possession of the police ; and before he is interviewed an urgent communication” is to be sent to the Superintendent of Police, Auckland, who will forward the file to the interviewing officer. On the 20th September, 1924, at Newton, Sydney, Australia, in the name Francis Joseph Andrews, he also went through the form of marriage with Amelia Benjamin, and he is wanted on warrant there for deserting her (vide New South Wales Police Gazette, 1930, page 62).
