INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Melbourne (Australia). warrant has been issued for the arrest of John Williams, alias McKenzie, for conspiring at Morrigum, Victoria, on the 28th June, 1929, with men named Baker and Holmes, to defraud James Roberts of £4OO. Description : Age about fifty-eight, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer and agent, native of New Zealand, stout build, sallow complexion, grey hair, blue eyes. He is said to have come to New Zealand, and his arrest is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1928, page 466, and Photographs, 1923, page 23.) (P. 30/83.)
