PERSONS WANTED.

Auckland. — Reuben Thomas Wallace, alias F. Brooks, incest and failing to maintain, has been located by the Sydney (New South Wales) police. He is employed by Waters Cash Order Store, Denison House, 380 George Street, Sydney, and resides at 15 Cumberland Street, Merry lands. (See Police Gazette, 1927, page 872.) (P. 27/1739.)

Ohaeawai.29th August last, for false pretences, Walter Joseph Bunting; age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 9 k in., land and stock agent, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, scar on abdomen; dressed in a dark-grey suit and felt hat, and carries a small suit-case. Accused obtained £1 from Ivan Pearson, garage-proprietor, by means of a valueless cheque on the Commercial Bank of Australia, Auckland, for £2 10s., which he tendered to complainant in payment of £1 10s., his fare by motor-car from Ohaeawai to Paihia. At Russell on the 28th and 30th August last he obtained £lO and £7 respectively from John Parker English, hotelkeeper, by means of valueless cheques on the Tauranga branch of the above-mentioned bank (where he had a small balance in his account), the manager of which was unable to notify him of the state of his account. Auckland.— instant, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three months in default of paying £l9 6s. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his illegitimate child, Phillip Thomas Tucker, age twenty height 5 ft. 9| in., hairdresser, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, scar on right wrist. Auckland.29th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for two months in default of paying £l3 15s. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his child, Hapi Heka, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer and fisherman, Maori, medium build, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes.

Hamilton.sth instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his three illegitimate children, of whom Lillian Millin, Raglan, is the mother, William Walter Davis, age about fifty, height 6 ft. 1 in., farmer and labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, ruddy complexion, dark hair turning grey, blue eyes.

Rotorua.—lßth ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for one month in default of paying £ll fine and costs for being intoxicated in charge of a motor-cycle, Thomas Clark, age twenty-two, height 6 ft., labourer, Maori, strong build, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes; sometimes dresses like a cowboy, with broad-brimmed hat. Napier.4th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his child, in the care of the Education Department, Charles Richard Smith, age forty-seven, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of England, medium build, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, long nose, protruding lips, scar on chin and on left little finger ; usually dressed in a dark .tweed suit and grey cap ; short quick gait; quiet manner ; fond of drink. Wellington. — Leo Cydric Sluter, default of fine and costs : It has been ascertained by the Wellington police that he left for Australia by the s.s. “ Ulimaroa ” on the 31st May last. (See Police Gazette, 1927, page 405.)

Wellington. 7th instant, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for fourteen days in default of paying £6 fine and costs for being in possession of an automatic pistol, James Herbert Barrett, age forty-four, height 5 ft. in., draughtsman, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, dark hair, brown eyes, long ears, two scars on forehead. Lai an nan, age nineteen, height about 5 ft. 8 in., seaman, native of France, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, grey eyes, rash on face, no upper front teeth; dressed in a grey suit and light felt hat; speaks broken English. •

Greymouth. sth instant, that a summons for a breach of his prohibition order may be served upon him, Daniel Casey, alias Thomas Carey, alias Patrick Ryan, age forty-two, height 5 ft. 8( in., labourer, native of Ireland, fresh freckled complexion, auburn hair, blue eyes ; “I love my Mary, God bless her,” 6on right forearm ; tip of right fore and middle fingers missing. Tim aril sth September last, on warrant for theft of £1 7s. 6d., the property of George Macintosh, wool-classer, 17 Sarah Street, Alexander 'Hugh Millar, age about twentyseven, height 5 ft. 10 in., salesman, native of Scotland, slight build, fresh complexion, black hair, small black moustache ; dressed in a dark suit with double-breasted coat and brown felt hat; frequents racecourses and billiard-saloons. Complainant' gave accused the money to purchase a pair of trousers''from O’Rourke, outfitter, Stafford Street. He purchased the trousers and had them booked to complainant, converting the money to his own /use. There are other charges pending. /tyf /^Q
