Accused, who purchased a milk-round from complainant, was verbally authorized to collect on the round accounts owing to Harris. Several such accounts were paid to him, and he failed to deliver the money to complainant. When arrested he is to be interviewed regarding other similar charges. Otahuhu. 4th May last, for false pretences, H. H. Morrison (name probably fictitious), age about thirty - three, height 5 ft. 8 in., stout build, dark complexion and hair. Accused obtained a bottle of whisky and £6 16s. 6d. cash from Eliza Seymour Rae, hotelkeeper, by means of a valueless cheque for £7 10s. No warrant.

Waihi.3rd instant, for escaping from the police lock-up, Albert Stanley Parsons, age thirty -two, height 5 ft. 4 in., bootrepairer, native of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, dark-brown hair going bald, brown eyes, no front teeth, scars on back of left hand; dressed in a dark-grey suit, fawn cardigan jacket, and grey felt hat; unkempt appearance. The cheque was stolen from the cheque-book of Earle Frederick Clay Hextall, school-teacher; and accused may be identical with John Mason, referred to in Police Gazette, 1929, pages 390 and 408.
