WALLACE, Kitchiner Road, Temora, New South Wales, a brown imitation-leather suit-case, size about 2-1 ft. by 2 ft., containing one red and one white string of pearls, a string of red and black beads, a string of jet black beads, a lovers’ knot brooch, a floral spray brooch, a raffia brooch, two pairs scissors, and a quantity of underclothing, &c.; total value, about £7. Between the 10th and 15th ultimo the dwelling of DORIS LINWOOD ENDEAN, 3 Judge Street, Parnell, was broken into, and the following stolen : An 18 ct. gold ring with four diamonds in claw setting ; a gold ring with three diamonds in claw setting ; a gold ring set with a cluster of diamonds ; a brush, comb, and mirror in grey xylonite ; and a quantity of ladies’ crepe de. Auckland. —On the 19th ultimo the dwelling of WONG YEE, Water Street, Otahuhu, was broken into, and the following stolen: £ls 17s. in money, and a cheque for £2l 7s. 3d., No. 9156-j, drawn on the Bank of New South Wales by Turner and Growers, Ltd., in favour of Wong Yee. On the 2nd or 3rd instant the shop of JAMES THOMAS WRIGHT, Belmont Road, was broken into, and the following stolen : One pair of men’s brown boots, size 7 or 8, “Helvetia” brand, no toecaps, hobnailed, with heel and toe plates; one or two pairs men’s black chrome boots, size 7, with heel and toe plates; five or six pairs children’s black patent-leather shoes, sizes 6,7, and 8, “ All leather soles, made in England ” marked on soles ; one pair of children’s light-tan shoes, size 4, “ Outsoles leather, insoles and stiffeners leatherboard ” and “ Made in England, Reg., Totlums, No. 460097 ” marked on soles ; two pairs children’s white canvas sand-shoes, diamond-pattern white rubber soles, size 4; one pair children’s white canvas sand-shoes with crepe-rubber soles, size 4 ; 6s. in money ; and 3s. 6d. in stamps, &c. : total value, £9 2s. Huntly. — December last, from a motor-car in the yard of the Rangiriri Hotel, the property of BERTRAM O’CONNOR, 7 Rosebank Road, Avondale, a brown leather attache-case, size 14 in. by 8 in.; five sample bottles of wine ; an order book and price list; and two £5 notes : total value, £l2. Identifiable except money.

Hamilton. 2sth or 26th ultimo, from the dwelling of JESSIE GRIFFIN, Newstead, a ladies’ 9 ct. gold expanding Swiss wristlet watch, “Craven” and “Mum and Dad, Xmas, 1928,” engraved on back; a gold split shanK ring set with five purple stones, ring repaired in centre, one shank broken ; and a gold horse-shoe brooch set with purple stones, several stones missing : total value, £l7. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about forty, height 5 ft. 8 in., good build, dark complexion, darkbrown hair ; dressed in a dark tweed suit and felt hat, smart appearance.

Hamilton.— lsth ultimo, from a dressing-shed at the Lake, the property of LESLIE HOUCHEN, Ohaupo Road, a gentlemen’s grey tweed coat, size 5 ; a silver cigarette-case, curvedshape, “ Nell ” engraved on one side ; a pigskin-leather wallet; a straight-stem silver-mounted Loewe pipe ; a white handkerchief with “L” on one corner; a motor-driver’s license in name of L. Ilouchen ; and ss. in money, &c. : total value, £6. Identifiable except money.

Spit.— 2nd ultimo, from the s.s. “ Kaimai,” the property of FRANK CLENNELL, a • gentlemen’s open-face nickel watch, “ Swiss make ; Stewart Dawson ” on dial, similar to illustration No. 6 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2 ; .and a gentlemen’s open curb 9 ct. gold watch-chain with sovereigncase containing one sovereign attached : total value, £6 ss. Identifiable.

Hastings. Between July last and 30th September, from the Drill Hall, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Defence Department), a -303 Mark 111 star short magazine Lee Enfield rifle, body number C. 8063, butt number 351 ; value, Identifiable.

Feilding. — On the night of the 27th ultimo the shop of WILLIAM BRAMWELL, LTD., Ferguson Street, was broken into, and about £7O in money and three cash-register keys stolen. Entrance to the premises was effected by means of keys stolen from the dwelling of William Bramweil, manager, the same night. The shop was also set on fire by the offender.

Palmerston North.— 2nd November last, from Cuba Street, the property of LAWRENCE JAMIESON, Rata Street, Tokomaru, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel bicycle, No. 89653, rubber pedals, 22 in. frame, saddle repaired with heavy rivets, “ Carmichael, Agent, Levin,” on transfer, Michelin tire on back wheel; value, £4.
