Gisborne. 3rd instant, for failing to comply with the conditions of his release upon probation (Offenders Probation Act, 1920), Vincent Allison McArdle, age forty-two, height 5 ft. 10 in., salesman, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. Taihape. —22nd ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Amy Mathieson, Rangataua, Alexander James SVfafbses®!?, age -eight, height 6 ft., mill hand and shearer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, black hair turning grey, dark-brown eyes, clean-shaved ; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit and brown shoes.

Ongaonca. 3rd instant, that lie may be located, and the Child Welfare Officer, Napier, notified of his address, Bruce Reid, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 7 in., farm labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, fair hair, scar on upper lip ; dressed in a navy-blue suit, grey overcoat, and tan shoes (no hat). At Dunedin last year he was committed to Weraroa State Institution.

Wanganui.- instant, on warrant for false pretences, George Thomas Nelson, alias J. Thomas, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 8| in., salesman, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes, large nose, mole below right temple and on chest; dressed in a brown suit and brown shoes, brown silk fancy socks, and felt hat. Accused obtained £6 ss. from Albert Francis Hodson, manager, Aard Service, by means of a valueless cheque for that amount on the'Bank of New Zealand, Wanganui. Wellington.— On or about the 30th ultimo, on warrant for forgery, Georgs Thomas Nelson, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. Bfin., salesman, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes, gold upper tooth ; dressed in blue trousers and grey double-breasted coat. Accused obtained £5 10s. from Maurice Jacobson, fancy-goods dealer, 66 Courtenay Place, by means of a cheque for £6 55., to which the signature “ J. Levin ” and the endorsement “J. Conibear ” had been forged. The chequeform was one of a number stolen from William James Conibear, 12 Drake Street. There are other charges pending. On or about the Ist instant, on warrant for theft of £1 10s., the property of the Australian' Mutual Provident Assurance Co., Broadway Avenue, Frank Williams, age forty height 5 ft. 4 in., clerk and canvasser, native of Australia, medium build, dark complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes, one lower tooth missing from each side, three small scars on forehead, scar on right wrist; usually dressed in a blue serge or grey suit, light felt hat with blue band, tan shoes, and fancy socks ; good address. Accused, who was employed by the above company, received £1 10s. from Joseph Lloyd Robertson, and failed to account for it to his employers. There are other charges pending. Nelson. ultimo, on warrant for false pretences, Albert Lionel Hains, age about forty-three, height 5 ft. 5 in., native of New Zealand, . medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair ; dressed in a navy-blue suit with double-breasted coat, felt hat turned down in front, and brown shoes. Accused, who stayed at the Masonic Hotel from the 14th to 26th ultimo, obtained £5 from the licensee, Arthur Wadham Fitzgibbon, by means of a valueless cheque for that amount on the Union Bank of Australia, New Plymouth.
