Te Puke.7th ultimo, from the dwelling of CLARA CANNELL, No. 1 Road, a gold bangle set with a red stone, a round white trinket-box with mirror on lid, three pairs gentlemen’s fancy silk socks, two old-fashioned silver brooches, and about £4 ss. in money; total value, £9. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to Horace Raymond Edlln, alias Norman Grant, age twenty, height 5 ft. 3 in., labourer and baker, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, talkative. Gisborne. —24th or 25th October last, from the Canberra Boardinghouse, the property of MARGARET BELLS, Clive, a ladies’ 9 ct. gold wristlet watch, “ Margaret Bells, Ferry Road, Clive,” inside back case, gold expanding wristlet attached with one side broken ; value, £5. Identifiable.
Palmerston North. — l6th October last, the property of J. ALLEN, 44 Main Street, a ladies’ black-enamelled Cooksley bicycle, No. 58081, upturned handles, celluloid grips, Cooksley transfer, 22 in. frame ; value, £5 10s. Identifiable.
Masterton.— l2th or 13th September last, from a shed at Kuripuni, the property of DONALD LINDSAY MILLS and others, eighty-six grey or brown opossum-skins, mostly with bullet-hole in skull portion ; value, £53 10s. Identification doubtful.
Christchurch. l9th October last, from 35 Ferry Road, the property of DOUGLAS GORDON OVEREND, a gentlemen’s free-wheel Victory bicycle, No. 52605, black-enamelled with green lines, upturned handles, Terry saddle, rubber pedals, Dunlop tires ; value, £9. Identifiable.
Christchurch. Between the 16th and 31st October last the dwelling of HARRIETT GRACE ANTHONY, 34 Heaton Street, Papanui, was broken into and the following stolen : An Apex carpet-sweeper ; six cut-glass tumblers ; six Atkinson Bros.’ stainless table-knives ; five A.I.E.P. table-forks, Daniel and Arter make ; two white linen tablecloths, one with double gold border and one brocaded ; a pair of three-quarter-size hemstitched bed-sheets ; a luncheon set of eleven pieces of white linen with scalloped edges ; and a quantity of Corona cigars, cigarettes, brandy, &c.: total value, £35 12s. 6d. Linen and carpet-sweeper identifiable.
• Christchurch. —On the 24th ultimo the dwelling of VICTOR CLEMENT PETERS, Mount Pleasant Road, Sumner, was broken into and the following stolen : A greenishgrey Mosgiel rug with check on one side ; a pair of operaglasses ; a gold-mounted Swan fountain pen, with “V. C. Peters ”on vulcanite ; a Silver Eversharp pencil; a plain gold-topped stud ; about £ls in money ; and about thirty H.M.V., Columbia, or Zonophone gramophone records : total value, £33 Bs. Identifiable except money and records.
Invercargill.— lst October last, the property of JAMES ALFRED O’KANE, North Road, Waikiwi, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled B.S.A. Waverley bicycle, No. W. 7 over 7599, Major Taylor reversible handles, Warwick tires; value, £8 10s. Identifiable.
