Christchurch. — John Michael Rooney, failing to comply with order of Court, has been arrested by the Kelburn police. He is identical with Michael James Rooney referred to in Police Gazette, 1927, page 860. (See Police Gazette, 1928, page 744.)

Christchurch. Victor Onslow Jeffries, default of maintenance, has paid the amount to Palmerston North police. He is identical with Victor Onslow Jeffries, referred to in Police Gazette, 1928, page 70, and his left forefinger is missing. (See Police Gazette, 1928, page 149.)

Rakaia. Sydney John Sail, alias Phillip Haay, suspected of breaking and entering, has been interviewed by the Christchurch police, hut no evidence resulted. (See Police Gazette, 1928, page 383.)

Waimate. — Stafford and Mrs. Stafford suspected of theft: The stolen ring has been recovered by the Ashburton police, and Mabel Abbygirl Stratford convicted of the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1928, page 717.)
