PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland. — On or about 3rd May last, from the dwelling of MARY SCOTT, 17 Park Road, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold openface keyless wristlet watch, “ M.E.S.” in monogram inside back case, gold expanding bracelet attached, No. 9658 or 208680 ; value, £l4. Identifiable.

Auckland. — On the 6th instant the dwelling of EDITH MARGARET SHELMERDINE, 5 Bell Road, was broken into, and six dozen Columbia, His Master’s Voice, Brunswick, and Zonophone gramophone records stolen therefrom ; total value, £l2. Identification doubtful.

Auckland. —-On the 29th ultimo the dwelling of GEORGE FREDERICK WOODERSON, 5 West End Avenue, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A ladies’ black morocco-leather purse about 10 in. by 31 in. ; £1 18s. in money ; a Post Office Savings-bank book, No. 455748, in name of Florence Daisy Wooderson; and a marriage certificate, in complainant’s name. Identifiable except money.

Auckland. — lßth ultimo, from the Workmen’s Home, Lome Street, the property of JOHN WHALEY SIMPSON, a gentlemen’s double-breasted dark-grey tweed overcoat, vent and belt at back, straps on cuffs, square pockets with flaps, black lining; value, £4. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to H. Smith, age about forty height about 5 ft. 7 in., medium build, dark complexion and hair, cleanshaved.

Auckland.-— 24th or 25th April last, from a railway goodswagon between Auckland and Hamilton, the property of THE NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Railways Department), a sage-green -grade Wilton carpet, size 9 ft. by 4-|-ft., may have “ 2.6764 ” in black letters on back ; value, £ll 3s. 6d. Identifiable.

Auckland. Between the 4th and 9th ultimo, from St. Alban’s Church, Dominion Road, the property of Rev. ARTHUR JOHN GREENWOOD, Dominion Road, a large octagonal-shape wooden clock, white dial, Roman numerals ; value, £B. Identifiable.

Auckland. —23rd ultimo, from the Domain, the property of GEORGE MILLS, 49 Old Mill Road, a gentlemen’s blackenamelled Auckland Special racing-bicycle, downturned handles, Dunlop tires ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Auckland.— l4th ultimo, from the dwelling of JOHN ANDREW WAYMOUTH, 8 Cleveland Road, a gentlemen’s silver hunting English watch, No. 109000, key-wind, Roman numerals, “J. Waymouth ” inside back case ; and a double .9 ct. gold curb watch-chain with gold-mounted shark’s tooth pendant attached : total value, £ls. Identifiable. J 0/7/Jo.

Te Kuiti. On the 22nd or 23rd April last the shop of GEORGE CHARLES MUNNS, Rora Street, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : Two gentlemen’s greenishcolour hats, size 7or 7-|; an oval-shape brown-and-yellow bead girdle ; several strings of white pearl beads ; a ladies’ fuji silk dress ; a ladies’ raincoat, branded “ Silka Sheen ”; and a cerise voile frock with putty-colour crepe de Chine belt : total value, £lO. Identifiable.

Tokaanu. Between the 2nd ultimo and the 12th instant, from the dwelling of DUDLEY MANSELL, a gentlemen’s silver English lever watch, Thomas and Sons, makers ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Manunui. —On the 23rd or 24th ultimo the store of WILLIAM WALTER MACFERSON was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : Two dark-brown leather suit-cases with steel grips ; a pair of gentlemen’s shoes, size 6 ; a gentlemen’s dark-grey Marie tweed overcoat; a Napier or Kopaki rug ; five pairs ladies’ Eagle brand silk and cashmere stockings ; two New Zealand lever watches, one with luminous dial; several pairs socks and trousers ; and a quantity of tobacco, cigarettes, &c. : total value, £29 3s. 9d. Identification doubtful.

Napier. sth instant, from a motor-car in Dalton Street, the property of GORDON WALKER, Rodney Street, a gentlemen’s double-breasted fawn gabardine overcoat ; and a pair of fleecy-lined brown leather motor-gloves: total value, £5 10s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about thirty-five, height about 5 ft. Sin., slight build, sallow complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, left shoulder slightly drooped ; dressed in a blue suit and gabardine raincoat.

Hawera. —10th or 11th instant, from the strong-room of HODDER AND TOLLEY, Union and Argyle Streets, £3l 6s. 2d. in money (including two £lO notes, a £5 note, and a sovereign). Not identifiable.

Palmerston North. 2oth ultimo, from a shed in George Street, the property of IVY McDONALD, Joseph Street, a ladies’ black-enamelled free-wheel B.S.A. bicycle, No. 780, straight handles, black celluloid grips (right missing), Anderson transfer, 22 in. frame, rubber pedals ; value, £4 10s. Identifiable.

Lower Hutt. 26th May last, from Main Street, the property of WILLIAM LAURENCE SMITH, Railway Hotel, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Starley bicycle, No. 30963 J, upturned handles, rat-trap pedals ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Wellington. 9th ultimo, from Lambton Quay, the property of SANFORD’S LIMITED, Willis Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel bicycle, Onward. saddle, Dunlop tires ; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington.— l2th ultimo, from 100 Lambton Quay, the property of HENRY JAMES BISHOP, 17 King’s Road, Lower Hutt, a light-tan leather suit-case, “ T. O. Bishop ” in gold letters on outside ; a Garrow’s Crimes Act, 1927, and Salmon’s Law of Torts, 1923, each with complainant’s name inside : total value, £4 ss. Identifiable. _

Wellington.— 7th ultimo, from 137 a Thorndon Quay, the property of DAVID BLOOM, a gentlemen’s square-shape silver wristlet watch, luminous dial, English figures, detachable back case with “ E. Taylor ” scratched inside, leather strap with buckle attached ; value, £3 15s. Identifiable.

Wellington.— On the 19th ultimo the dwelling of MARY CATHERINE TAYLOR, 30 Woburn Road, was broken into and a Post Office money-box, No. 20320, and about £2 in money stolen therefrom. Money-box identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about twenty-six, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, fresh complexion ; wearing a light trench-coat with belt, dark trousers, and grey cap.

Wellington. Between the 6th and 14th ultimo, from a launch in Porirua Harbour, the property of SAMUEL WALTER MOULT, Titahi Bay, a Vesta -volt battery in black wooden box ; a four-cylinder Z.U.R. Bosch magneto ; a 1 cwt. patent hedge anchor with 60 ft. f in. galvanized chain attached ; about 120 ft. Kaiha anchor-rope ; and two tins of Peltravania oil, No. 4602 or No. 480 on tins : total value, about £3O. Identification doubtful.

Wellington. —2oth ultimo, from Smith’s Road, the property of ERNEST BUCKLEY, 116 Owen Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel bicycle, reversible handles, Dunlop Railroad tire on back wheel, Serang tire on front wheel, Miller electric-lighting set attached ; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch. 24th ultimo, from Chester Street, the property of CECIL WILLIAM MITCHELL, 190 Chester Street, a 5-6 h.p. red-enamelled Indian Scout motor-cycle, registration number 21-171, top seam of tank recently soldered, Goodyear tire ; value, £45. Identifiable.

Dunedin.- — On the 15th instant the dwelling of DANIEL ELLIS HOPKINS and CYRIL LESLIE CHRISTENSEN, 356 George Street, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom: A gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold hunting Waltham watch, black hands, Roman numerals, “ Made of two compositions, platinum and gold,” inscribed inside ; a double 9 ct. gold watch-chain with nickel-plated book-shape matchbox with Isle of Man crest on outside ; and a return-half of a first-class railway ticket (Dunedin-Christchurch) : total value, £l9 15s. Identifiable.

Gore.— Between November, 1927, and March last, from a paddock at Kaiwera, Clinton, the property of TIMARU MORRIS, about thirty two-tooth Romney cross ewes, branded “ VI ” in black on right ribs, earmaked with V-shape piece out of tip and front of left ears ; total value, £67 10s. Identifiable.

Between January and March last, from the farm of JOHN WYLIE, Kaiwera, forty-four six- and eight-tooth Romney-cross ewes, branded “ D.A.” in black on left ribs, earmarked with punch-hole in centre of left ears, and U-shape piece out of tip of right ears ; total value, £7O. Identifiable.

Gore.- ultimo, from a motor-car in Gore, the property of JOHN COPLAND, Waimumu, a fawn-colour opossum rug, 6 ft. square, stitching loose on skin in centre, red vaise lining ; value, £lO. Identifiable. aA-v-ZX.

Identifiable.
