Auckland. Bth July last, from the Waverley Hotel, the property of J. D. GRIFFITHS, Portland Street, Dargaville, a new Gladstone bag, with “ J.D.G.” in gold letters on outside, containing two suits of pyjamas ; a pair of hair-brushes ; a safety-razor ; two clothes-brushes ; a book, entitled The Term of His Natural Life,” marked “ Dargaville Municipal Library ” ; and several shirts, collars, &c. : total value, £9. Identifiable.

Auckland. 2sth ultimo, from the dwelling of CHARLES GEORGE BROWN, 2 Bond Street, Devonport, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold signet-ring, “ E.W.” scratched on inside ; a gold tiepin, set with a small ruby in centre ; and ss. fid. in money : total value, £3 15s. 6d. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about twentythree, height about 5 ft. 4 in., medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair ; dressed in a navy-blue suit and felt hat. ■■

Auckland.— On the 22nd ultimo the dwelling of ALICE MAUDE ALLENDER, 1 Cornwall Park Avenue, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : An oldfashioned 18 ct. gold ring, set with five diamonds on straight claw setting ; an 18 ct. gold engagement-ring, set with cluster of diamonds, blue sapphire in centre, and pearl on each side of cluster; and £2 10s. in money: total value, £29 10s. Identifiable except money.

Auckland. —12th July last, from a dressing-shed at the Edendale Football Grounds, the property of LOUIS MOREY BERNARD, 344 Old Great North Road, a black leather wallet, with five compartments, containing £4 os. . Id., in money, four penny stamps, and a motor-driver’s license issued by the Mt. Eden Borough Council in name of complainant. Identifiable except money.

On the 26th or 27th ultimo the premises of RADLEY AND CO., City Markets, were broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : £214 Os. 7d., in money; 10s. in postal notes ; a cheque, No. 140 for £l4 on the Commercial Bank of Australia, Auckland, drawn by F. D. McLiver in favour of Chhibi Ramji; a cheque, No. 539837, for £1 15s. sd. on the Bank of New Zealand, Symonds Street, Auckland, drawn by P. P. N. Nola in favour of Radley and Co. ; a cheque for £5 95., drawn by the New Zealand Dairy Association, Hamilton, in favour of E. J. Paul ; a cheque for £9 on the Union Bank of Australasia, drawn by ■ —- Brown in favour of D. W. Phillips ; a cheque for £4 ; and a tan leather kitbag, with steel chain and wrist-strap attached ; all cheques stamped in red on back “ Grain ” or “ Fruit ” : total value, £248 Os. 7d. Auckland. 4th ultimo, from a motor-car in Quay Street, the property of GERALD DE BATHE BRANDON, 15 Norwood Road, Bayswater, a leather suit-case, with “ G. do B. Brandon ” on nickel plate in centre of lid, nickel fasteners at each end, black imitation-leather lining ; two pairs Frost and Erickson wireless headphones, two volt meters ; and four pairs small pliers : total value, £7 Bs. Auckland. —-30th July last, from the shop of GEORGE THOMPSON, 119 Parnell Road, £1 10s., in money. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Two Men (names unknown)(l) age about forty-three, height about 5 ft. 10 in., thin build, fresh complexion, brown hair; wearing a dark suit and light felt hat: and (2) age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 6 in., strong build, fair complexion and hair ; wearing a black suit and light felt hat.

Auckland. On the sth ultimo the dwelling of EMANUEL MARBECK, 196 Great South Road, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom: A gentlemen’s gold open-face keyless Waltham watch ; a 9 ct. gold fob watch-chain, with Masonic emblem attached ; and £1 12s. in money : total value, £lO 17s. Neville ” in gold letters on one side ; a string of pale-pink graduated pearls ; a ladies’ small fawn leather handbag, with strap; 18 yards of lace; and six fillet lace d’oileys : total value, £9 6s. 6d. Auckalnd. —On the 26th ultimo the dwelling of JAMES CAMPBELL, 102 Clonbern Road, Remuera, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : About £l4 in money ; a gentlemen’s rolled-gold hunting Waltham watch, No. 22832317 a double 9 ct. gold curb watch-chain, with greenish pendant and a metal matchbox with crest, boar’s head, and “Duke of Argyle ” in yellow and black enamel attached; and cheque-book on the National Bank of New Zealand, Newton, numbered B 15619 to B 15648 : total value, about £32. Kihikihi. —On the 20th or 21st ultimo the shop of VICARS FITZPATRICK was broken into, and a metal watch and an electric torch stolen therefrom, and a plate-glass window broken ; total value, £9 Bs. Not identifiable.

Hamilton. —Between the 9th and 16th ultimo, from the shop of EVELYN SCHERER, Ward Street, a portable Underwood typewriter, No, 4797, in black leather case; value, £ls. Identifiable. ,

On the 13th or 14th ultimo the premises of THE BRITISH IMPERIAL OIL CO., Frankton Junction, were broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A cashbox, stamps, and sundry papers (recovered), and £6 11s. sd. in money. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Hugh Joseph O’Brien, referred to in Police Gazette, 1923, page 372, who has been interviewed by the Auckland police, but no evidence resulted.

Taumarunui. 26th June last, the property of W. F. PAUL, a gentlemen’s silver hunting Rotherhams watch, key-wind, Roman numerals, gold hands, glass missing, “ W. F. Paul” and scroll with flowers on inner case ; and double greenstone - bar watch-chain, with gold-mounted greenstone pendant attached : total value, £ll. Identifiable.

Foxton. —On the 23rd July last the dwelling of MARCIA BAKER, Cook Street, was broken into, and a gold engage-ment-ring set with three sapphires and four diamonds in straight setting stolen therefrom, flaw in one diamond ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Masterton.— June last, from the Soldiers Club, Essex Street, the property of RANDOLPH ARTHUR ROSE, Upper Plain, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Rover bicycle, straight handles, black celluloid grips, 24 in. frame, front forks bent; value £7. Identifiable.

Masterton. 22nd July last, from Queen Street, the property of JEREMIAH SAVAGE, Solway, a gentlemen’s blackenamelled B.S.A. racing-bicycle, downturned handles, no grips, right pedal slightly bent; value, £5. Identifiable.

Wellington. —-17th or 18th ultimo, from Donbank Hostel, Dixon Street, the property of TREVOR SANDERSON, a gentlemen’s three-quarter-length brown tweed overcoat, single-breasted, half-lined with brown Italian cloth, no vent; and a gentlemen’s dark gabardine Aquatite overcoat, darkgrey check lining, vent at back, storm collar: total value, £lO. Wellington. 26th May last, from a restaurant in Lambton Quay, the property of NAOMI TANNER, 37 Webb Street, a ladies’ 9 ct. gold wristlet watch, gold dial, black hands, “ N.T.” on back, and “ Swiss made ” on works, black silk wristlet with gold fastener attached ; value £4 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington.— sth ultimo, from the Community Club, Buckle Street, the property of PHILLIP GILBERT THOMSON, a light-polished-oak box about 8 in. by 4 in., “ Cigarettes ” in silver letters on top ; £4 2s. 3d. in money ; and a gentlemen’s silver wristlet hunting-watch, screw back, front case broken off, “ From Bell to Phil ” engraved on back : total value, £7 2s. 3d. Wellington. 29th July last, from the De Luxe Theatre, the property of FRANK WILLIAM HOLDSWORTH, 22 Plunket Street, a gentlemen’s blue nap overcoat, large size, no vent, belt at back, two outside pockets with flaps; a gentlemen’s brownish-fawn felt hat, fawn band, “ Kirkcaldie and Stains ’ ’ on inside band ; a white silk scarf, with fringe at each end ; a pair of brown kid gloves, lined with grey, black, and white fur inside wrists ; and a note -book, with “F. W. Holdsworth ”on outside : total value, £6 19s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about twenty-six, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, .dark complexion and hair; well dressed in a dark-grey suit and grey felt hat; Cockney accent.

On the 19th or 20th ultimo the premises of ALBERT EDWARD STRANGE, 404 Worcester Street, were broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : Fortyfive Mullard P.M. radio-valves ; twenty Radiatron 201 a radio-valves ; six Burgess dry radio-batteries, 45 volt and G volt; twenty-one Burgess dry torch-batteries ; twelve Lissen radio-coils ; two Parkson and three Beanco lightningarresters ; thirty Edison-Bell phone-jacks ; six Formo plugs ; eight Tunion head-phones ; twelve Transant and ten Benjamin U.X. sprung valve-holders ; seven Benjamin sockets, seven Liberty crystal detectors ; a reel of resin solder; ten torches ; two Peto and Radford 6-volt wet batteries ; a Rola cone speaker ; a two-valve amplifier ; ten Peerless rheostats ; four Lissen parallel switches ; a Browning-Drake coil-unit; and about 150 T.C.C. fixed condensers : total value, about £l3O. Christchurch. -On the sth July last the dwelling of EDITH CLARKE, 50 Wyon Street, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, with four diamonds in platinum setting ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with a diamond ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold dress-ring, set with two sapphires and a diamond ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with three emeralds and two diamonds ; and £1 10s. in money : total value, £37 10s. Christchurch. —6th ultimo, from Lancaster Park, the property of GEORGE FERGUSON McCULLOCH, 10 Leighton Street, a 1927 model 2\ horse-power Triumph motorcycle, engine number 400073, painted grey with green facings, Dunlop tires (the registration-number plate, battery, and mudguards were found in the River Avon on the 15th ultimo) ; value, £67.
