SPECIAL NOTICE.

Concealment of Birth. Christchurch. -On the 22nd ultimo the dead body of a newly-born female child was found on the bank of the River Avon at Dallington. A post mortem examination revealed that the child had been born about three days previous to the discovery of the body, and had lived for some minutes at least, but had not been fed. There was no evidence of violence or suffocation, but death had apparently resulted from neglect. Any information regarding the offence is to be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Christchurch.
