Newton. —On the 27th or 28th ultimo the shop of BALFOUR IRVINE, 18 Karangahape Road, was broken into and two pairs mother-of-pearl opera-glasses in black leather cases stolen therefrom; total yalue, £5. Identification doubtful. fUL-CsirTU-t)

Oneiiunga. 24th December last, from a motor-car in Boyle Crescent, the property of THOMAS SMITH, Queen Street, a spare rim fitted with a 31 x 4 Dunlop motor tire, No. 36176273, and a Goodyear tube ; total value, about £B. Identification doubtful.

Haweka. — On the 13th or 14th instant the shop of J. E. DINGLE, High Street, was broken into and £2 4s. in money stolen therefrom, and an attempt made to open the safe by drilling a hole near the lock. This is in lieu of the notice on page 64 of this Gazette, where the offence is incorrectly shown as having been committed at New Plymouth.
