Point Chevalier. sth ultimo, from Western Springs, the property of HERBERT CASEY, 8 Parkfield Road, Herne Bay, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled Massey Silver Ribbon bicycle ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Kingsland. Between the 22nd and 30th August last, from 28 Finch Street, Momingside, the property of JANET EIDE, a ladies’ small silver wristlet watch, loop on each side, silver dial, leather wrist-strap attached ; and fourteen gramophone records : total value, £6 14s. 6d. Watch only identifiable.

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). —24th ultimo, from Albert Street, the property of STEWART EDWIN FINNEY, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Farmers Special Monarch bicycle, turned-down handles, Dunlop tires ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Auckland. — Bth instant, from the Public Works Camp at Orakei, the property of GEORGE HOLLAND, a wallet and papers (recovered), two £lO notes, a £5 note, and a 10s. note ; total value, £27 12s. Not identifiable.

Auckland. —23rd August last, from the trawler “ Serfib,” the property of RICHARD CRUISE, a mahogany-handled razor; a white-handled Gong German razor ; and a black-and-white shirt, size 151: total value, £2 10s. IdentifiableSuspicion is attached to Jacob Martin, height about 5 ft. 3 in., medium build, dark complexion, clean-shaved; slovenly appearance.

Auckland. —llth instant, from the Auckland Railwaystation, the property of WILLIAM JAMES TRAINOR, Thames Road, Paeroa, a dark-brown leather suit-case, with three nickel locks ; a gentlemen’s dark-grey serge suit, cuff bottoms on trousers, supposed Zealandia brand ; four striped shirts and two white shirts ; a pair of gentlemen’s Bostock black patent-leather boots, size 8 ; a white-handled Bengal razor ; two shaving-brushes ; and several handkerchiefs and socks : total value, £2O 17s. Mostly identifiable.

Auckland. sth instant, from a dressing-room in His Majesty’s Theatre, the property of HELEN STRANSKY, a ladies’ light-brown leather handbag, two handles, Zip fastener; a purple-leather cigarette-case ; a gold ring with Florrie McDonald College crest, “ 19 ” and “ A. 8.” on either side of crest, “ H.S.” on inside of ring ; a ring with gold Kookaburra ; and £ll in money: total value, £l7. Identifiable except money.

Auckland. —15th instant, from the person of MADELINE, BASSETT, 3 Masons Avenue, while in Jervois Road, Herne Bay, a ladies’ black leather handbag, a pair of spectacles, and 18s. 4d. in money ; total value, £1 12s. fid. Bag only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about eighteen, height about 5 ft. 9 in., medium build.

Gisborne. —9th instant, from outside the Post-office, the property of JOHN O’DWYER, 288 Gladstone Road, a gentlemen’s blackled Sun bicycle, No. 057554, upturned handles, Michelin tire on front wheel; value, £l2 10s. Identifiable. /- 3'

New Plymouth. in Egmont Road, the property of HARRY MANA, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Burberry bicycle, No. 9223, upturned handles, Dunlop tire on front wheel, corded tire on back wheel; value, £5. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Ranji Lason alias Martin, age eighteen, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, a half-caste Maori, medium build, dark complexion and hair ; dressed in a navy-blue suit, blue overcoat, grey felt hat, and tan shoes. Shannon. —On the Bth ultimo the premises'of the Y.M.C.A., Mangahao, were broken into and £2l in money stolen therefrom. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to JLfiSlifi. George Cookspn. age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 5 2 in., barman and - labourer,’ native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, scar over each eye. Wellington.— Between the 4th and 7th ultimo, from Manners Street, the property of CHARLES PALMER, 33 Sutherland Road, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Warwick bicycle, upturned handles, dent in bar under saddle, Palmer tire on front wheel, Dunlop Railroad tire on back wheel; value, £7 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington. —7th ultimo, from the Ferry Wharf, the property of MAY GEAKE, Hastings, a ladies’' black patentleather purse, “ D.G.” in gold letters on flap, black-and-white buckle fastener; an 18 ct. gold ring, set with three rubies in crossover claw setting a pair of imitation-pearl earrings, long drops, with silver fastenings ; and £5 12s. in money: total value, £ll 13s. Identifiable except money.

Wellington.— ultimo, from the Newtown School, the property of LEWIS VIVIAN GRAHAM, 52 Owen Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled bicycle, with “ Perfect in Maple Leaf ” thereon, upturned handles, no grips, BarnetGlass tire on front wheel, Oceanic tire on back wheel; value, £5. Identifiable.

Between the 30th August last and the 4th ultimo, between Wellington and Auckland whilst in transit by registered post, the property of LAUCHLAN AND CO., 16 Victoria Street, a gentlemen’s open-face keyless nickel watch, No. 101079, fifteen jewels “ Lauchlan and Co., N.Z.” on dial, screw-on front, corrugated bezel; value, £2 12s. fid. Identifiable. The watch was removed from the package and an old broken watch substituted.

Wellington.— Between the 9th and 11th ultimo, from a motor-car which was unlawfully used and abandoned, the property of ARTHUR JOHN CURTIS, 97a Tinakori Road, three 31 by 4-40 semi-balloon tires and tubes, one Goodyear and two Firestone ; three Overland rims for wheels 30 by 31 ; a brass motor-car pump with gauge, “ Hill ” stamped thereon ; a blue-painted Milwaukee motor-jack; a tire-key; two double-ended spanners ; a Sealfast repair outfit; and two Helfi sparking-plugs, &c. : total value, £35. Mount Cook (Wellington). — loth August last, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Defence Department), two new -303 Enfield rifles, Nos. C. 11498 and C. 11510; value, £lO 15s. Identifiable.

Christchurch. — On the 19th August last the dwelling of EDITH MABEL CUTHBERT, 119 River Road, Richmond, was broken into and the following stolen therefrom : A ladies’ open-face gold keyless wristlet watch, black English figures with red 12, gold-link wristlet attached ; and a gold bar brooch, set with square Tourmaline stone and four diamonds : total value, £22. Identifiable.

Dunedin. — 6th instant, from Moray Place, the property of GEORGE STANLEY BROWN, 27 Glasgow Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Royal bicycle, No. •15219, upturned handles, Michelin tires; value, £8 15s. Identifiable.
