Wiiangarei. —6th instant, for obscene exposure, Man (name unknown), age forty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., medium build, fair complexion, ginger hair, blue eyes ; dressed in a brown suit (no hat) ; talks to himself, and was riding a bicycle. In Maunu Road accused obscenely exposed himself within the view of Gwenyth Munro, schoolgirl, and others. No warrant. /&,

Auckland. — 17th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for fourteen days, in default of paying £5 arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his son in Auckland Receiving Home, Arthur Milton Campbell, age about forty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., cook and labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, brown eyes, ginger moustache ; fond of drink. He may be identical with Alexander Milton Campbell, referred to in Police Gazette, 1920, page 716. Arrears computed to 23rd March last. /%£,£{ /<£> - J2& ,

. Auckland. —16th July last, on warrant for theft of £5 7s. Bd., the property of Thomas David Collins, merchant, 32 Quay Street, Laurence R. Phelan, age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., clerk and garage hand, slight build, sallow complexion, black hair ; usually dressed in a navy-blue serge suit and soft dark-grey felt hat or light-grey suit, bow-tie, and soft collar. Philip Henry Levy, Grocer, Jervois. Road, Herne Bay, posted a cheque for above amount to Thomas David Collins, 32 Quay Street. Accused, who in some way became possessed of the cheque, called on Mr. Levy next day and asked him to make the cheque open as he required change. Mr. Levy, thinking accused was complainant Collins to whom he had posted the cheque, took it back and gave him Ca "" W9//A7

Auckland. Albert James Parker, failing to maintain : The warrant of arrest was issued for Albert Edward Parker, but he is identical with Albert James Parker, referred to in Police Gazette, 1925, page 276, and Photographs, 1920, page 53. (See Police Gazette, 1926, page 477.) fO. -/-ay, Auckland. —27th May last, on warrant for false pretences, S. F. Williams (name probably fictitious), age about thirtyfive, height about 5 ft. 9 in., medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, clean-shaved ; dressed in a grey suit, grey felt hat, and fawn raincoat. Accused obtained £l7 Os. lOd. from John Court (Limited), merchants, by means of a valueless cheque for that amount, signed S. F. Howard.

Auckland. — ultimo, for assault, Man (name unknown), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 9 in., medium active build, clean-shaved; dressed in a dark -grey suit and felt hat. About 8.30 p.m. in Clonburn Road, Remuera, a man of the description given struck Mary Hood, widow, 2 Rothesay Street, several times on the head with some instrument. No warrant.

Auckland. —9th instant, for assault, Man (name unknown), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 9 in., medium build ; dressed in a dark suit and felt hat. About 8.45 p.m. in Market Road, Annie Joan Wilson, nurse, was assaulted by a man of the description given. No warrant.

Auckland. —15th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his five children, George Arthur Dix, alias George Davis, age fifty-two, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer and carpenter, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes ; cross, anchor, heart, and scroll on left forearm ; crossed flags, shield, crown, clasped hands, heart, and star on right forearm. Auckland. —19th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Elizabeth Doyle, 14 St. Benedict Street, and child, Albert Henry Doyle, alias Alfred Doyle, age forty-three, height 5 ft. 5£ in., cook, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair turning grey, hazel eyes, blind in left eye (not noticeable), scar on left middle and ring fingers, on left forearm, and on right thumb ; usually well dressed ; fond of drink. Hamilton. — 19th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Kathleen Wright, Victoria Street, John Austin Wright, age thirty-four, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, -grey eyes ; usually well dressed in a -serge suit and light-felt hat, and wears a returned soldier’s badge in lapel of coat.

Te —26th ultimo, that a summons for fighting in Rora Street may be served upon him, William Mahoney, age fifty-four, height 6 ft. 1 in., labourer and fish-hawker, native of Ireland, strong build, auburn hair, blue eyes, scar under left eye and under chin ; dressed in a brown suit and light-felt hat fond of drink. Taumarunui. —18th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his three children in the care of the Education Department, Reginald Charles Williams, age about twentyfive, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion and hair, blue eyes, prominent teeth ; dressed in a dark-serge suit and felt hat. Wairoa. —l3th ultimo, on warrant for false pretences, Alfred Alexander Berry, age fifty, height 5 ft. 11 in., carpenter and labourer, native of Wales, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair turning grey, grey eyes, large protruding teeth, small moustache, scar on one temple and on right shin; dressed in a grey suit, grey felt hat, and fawn overcoat ; fond of drink, and talks a great deal about his war service. Accused obtained £3 7s. 6d. from William Thom, labourer, by falsely representing that he had secured a job with the Public Works Department, and he required the money to equip himself. Wanganui. — lsth instant, on warrant for being absent from the s.s. “ Gisla ” without leave, Oivind Adalf Nilson, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 10 in., seaman, native of Norway, good build, fair complexion , and hair, blue eyes ; • dressed in a navy-blue suit and grey cap ; cannot speak English. His photograph is filed in the Inspector’s Office, Wanganui. He is a prohibited immigrant. Whilst the above ship was at Auckland a man named Hayden is suspected of having committed buggery with Nilson. Hayden’s description is as follows : Age about forty-five, short, stout build, grey hair, small moustache. He will probably stay at a good hotel.

Wanganui. — l6th instant, on warrant for theft of £8 11s. in money, the property of Newsomes Limited, bakers, Pitt Street, Rangi Martin, alias Matene, alias Potuki, age twentytwo, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, Maori, medium build, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes, scar over left eye and on right side of .throat. Accused received the money from an employee of the firm to give to the foreman baker, but failed to do so. He may be identical with Ranji Martin, alias Lason, referred to in Property stolen, this issue. (See Police Gazette, 1926, page 435, and Photographs, 1923, page 91.)

Masterton. 2lst ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for two days in default of paying £1 fine and costs for a breach of the Masterton Borough By-laws, Frederick Fletcher, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 9 in., steward and chauffeur, native of England, medium build, sallow complexion, dark hair, brown eyes, clean-shaved. ftcLUK /OVA&-,

AICOCk, age about thirty-six, height 5 ft. 10 in., motor salesman, slight build, dark complexion, dark hair brushed back and parted, clean-shaved ; well dressed in a blue suit and dark-felt hat, tan shoes, and fancy socks. Accused obtained £5 from Howard Percy Dore, motor-engineer, 189 Willis Street, by means of a valueless cheque for that amount on the National Bank of New Zealand, Auckland. Accused left the employ of the Pacific Motors (Limited), Auckland, on the 12th May last. He may be accompanied by his wife (age about thirty-three, height 5 ft. 5 in., good build, fresh complexion, shingled hair, well dressed, good looking) and daughter, age six. Arrears to 27th ultimo, £22 15s.

Wellington. —l9th instant, on warrant for failing to provide for the maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, Thomas Harvey, alias McKay, age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., wharf labourer, native of England, strong build, dark complexion, curly black hair, small brown eyes, scars on shins, high insteps ; drops his “ h’s ” when speaking ; springy gait. Wellington. —lßth instant, for failing to comply with the conditions of his release upon probationary license, Roland George Collins, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 6 in., salesman, native of New Zealand, strong build, sallow complexion, light-brown hair going bald, hazel eyes, scars on right cheek and on upper lip, one right finger poisoned. Blenheim.29th ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Minnie Phillips, and children, Nelson Street, William Alfred Phillips, age forty-eight, height 6 ft., barman and labourer, native of Australia, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair turning grey, brown eyes, scar under left eye and under chin ; dressed in a grey suit, grey felt hat or cap, and tan boots.
