INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Melbourne (Victoria). — warrant has been issued for the arrest of Herbert James Hannan, charged that on or about the 7th ultimo at South Melbourne, being a clerk in the employ of the Commonwealth Barbed Wire and Nail Works Company (Limited), 94 Sturt Street, did steal the sum of £665 12s. 10d., the property of the said company. Description : Age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., medium build, dark complexion, curly dark hair, prominent teeth, clean-shaved ; usually well dressed ; smart appearance. Extradition expenses have been guaranteed, and his arrest is desired. His photograph is filed in the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington. (P. 26/1401.)
