Accused took hold of complainant in Broadway, Newmarket, about 11 p.m. oh above date and dragged her behind a house, where he committed the offence. No warrant.

Tauranga. —3rd instant, on warrant in order that he may be adjudged the father of the illegitimate child of Violet Taki, George Cunliffe, age forty-six, height oft. 6 in., carpenter and farmer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, scar on head, Tipper teeth artificial. Accused forged the name “ William Wyllie ”to a cheque for £8 175., and uttered it to Herbert Colbert, licensee, Royal Hotel, in payment for board, receiving £7 2s. change. Wellington. —l2th November last, on warrant for using obscene language in Molesworth Street, T. Fletcher, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 2 in., fireman, native of Scotland, fair complexion and hair; usually dressed in a blue suit and cap. He was served with a summons, but failed to appear. 3-V- '

The description is that of a man who sold portion of the stolen property to a secondhand dealer. His correct name is supposed to be George Hill.
